Has Nicko got something up his sleeve tonight?? :brfcsmilie::rover:

11 o'clock passes as I watch Like a Hurricane live for the umpteenth time since I taped it on this wonderful Sky Plus thing.

Done 12 stories today - and hardly a sniff of a Blackburn Rovers tale.

The transfer world seems to be moving everywhere apart from round here.

For our Hull fan - Simpson is also wanted by Leeds and Crystal Palace. But that Premier League 'embargo' thing is a major issue.

The game is knackered. Championship clubs are trying to sign players all over the place and some of them are still in admin or can't pay the bills.

I have a feeling the same kind of horrors will come round for some Premier League clubs before long.

Totally mental.

Quick round-up of elsewhere...Remy thing is stalling with Stoke...Middlesbrough want £3m for a dud goalie that Liverpool want...Sheff U have signed Stephen Jordan after he walke dout of Pompey...

And Rovers can't find a buyer at the right price for poor old Jason Roberts.

He's been Woeful for sometime now......

Just like Kev Davies until he went to Bolton under Sam ! We have buttons to spend at the moment and I think some need to lower their expectations.

Noticed Everton are going after Kanoute.. what do people think of him and would be able to afford him?

Cracking player, possibly past his best but would still be better than anything currently in the building.

...Remy thing is stalling with Stoke...

Yeah, him and his agent didn't look too impressed when they were filmed leaving earlier...fairly cold to the stoke fans mithering him.

Agreed....the likes of Beattie/ Benjani/ Heskey do not even compare to the ability of Kanoute.

Posted

Reid gone....Gala in for Grella....Italians in for Jacobsen...Turks in for Zurab...& Baggies in for Roberts... Pedersen told to jog on and shirk elsewhere ...

Now THAT would have been a perfect summer of outgoings .... ;)

swap him for Dorrans....

He is at WBrom isn't he?

In April 2010 West Brom rejected an offer of £4 million from West Ham United for Dorrans, And a further £5 million bid from The Hammers On July 8th 2010. On July 19th 2010, Dorrans signed a new four-year deal with West Brom ending speculation that he would join West Ham.

If we negotiated a swap for him and Jason Roberts, I'll happily eat my keyboard.

Don't mean to go off topic or anything, just a quick question:

Am I right when I assume the 'embargo' is due to only one club, and that club being Fulham over Bullard payments?

He'd be more than happy to leave west brom for the rovers...bung them another million and a half and he can join a proper premier league club and not some yo-yo rubbishy team. They get Jase and he scores loads of goals int championship next season....simples....everyone a winner.

Anyway what happened to Andraniks deal? I saw him training on SSN.

That SSN report also showed Samba and Kalinic in training and said they were "fit again" - Yay

And Sam was very, very down saying there are plenty of irons in the fire but none of them are very hot!

Posted

It was reported that Andranik passed his medical last week. Maybe Sam is thinking he only needs one of Andranik and Faty and he is going to give Faty the chance to impress on trial before making a decision?

Two posts over on the Teamtalk ' Rumour Room ' suggest we are after Peter Crouch !!!!!!

One being in a deal worth £5.5m and the other in a swap deal with Phil Jones !!!!!!

Posted

how on earth, are we still considering selling Roberts? I would be happy to see him go, but under the current circumstances its a foolish decision if he goes now. We are unable to land a striker, we have Kalinic struggling to get fit, and then there is Rigters. What the hell is going on? Sam looked rather upset when he was on sky, so things are not looking to great.

At the time of writing, BBC's transfer gossip has just four stories in it and none of them could be considered new..

Fabregas staying at Arsenal means one potential chain will not be starting.

I have to say reading that teamtalk rumour room is total bullpop. On the same bit that quoted we would sign P.Crouch for 5.5M or swap Jones for Crouch while Jones has just signed a new 5 year deal & is a Blackburn fan. It says we will sign Messi for 120Mill after Syed takes over that considering he has a 200M release clause I have to say reading that rumour room it looks like nearly all posters are chancers & lucky guessers.

BIT OF A LATE EIGHT O CLOCKER FOR YOU...

I have it on good authority that we have another day of frustration ahead of us.

Freddy Kanoute is on over £100K a week at Sevilla. Kindo of puts us out of the running.

According to the LT daily update....we are still awaiting news on our bid

Says the Iranian fella is back training with us, and also says Samba & Kalinic are now back in training, both played a behind doors game on wednesday & both will play at Hearts - before going to internationals.

I thought we would sign a few players, 1 ball playing midfielder and 2 strikers, 1 of them being on loan.

Now Im getting worried about signing anyone, "plenty of irons in the fire but none of them are hot" was a great quote.

I think that the takeover has plenty to answer for any lack of transfer activity, it seems that there should have been way more money available with the sale of Benni, the saving on his wages and the higher league finish but it seems that any extra cash has been banked to make us a more attractive to sell.

We should have struck early as Sam wanted with Lewandowski or Bance, now prices are going to be driven higher with teams knowing our position.
