Bazrakats Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Di Santo showed promise but wasnt able to follow that up. If he had what it took to be a premier league forward he would have started more games. Point is even when we were desperate for goals Sam wouldnt use him and i dont see much mention of him from any Chelsea fans. He'll prob be back of to Argentina or Brazil shortly just like most south americans who come to England and get hyped up.

OJRovers Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I'm pleased we've got Diouf, Man Utd fans at work rate him, said he is big and some are surprised they've let him out for the whole season (if that is confirmed). Still need 2 strikers and to sell Roberts. Jo and Vaughan would be good for me.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Finally a bit of pace in our side. At least we can offer something less predictable upfront.
otto man Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Do you think they made that video as some kind of joke. Seriously that's like an elephant teaching a bird to fly What!.......You aint heard of Dumbo????
dj54nna Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Diouf scores two or three goals from a long throw in unleaded's clip. He'll fit right in. Sod this Diouf lad. We need to sign the baldy pinging those throw ins into the box. Lethal.
davulsukur Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 What's going on? Everyone on here saying we have signed diouf from man utd? Can't find anything on any sites, although I'm at work so it's only a quick look on the sly.

ewoodpo Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Great news Vinjay has blogged on the LT site that if we bring in a player from Manure he'll no longer support us.
Bobby G Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Hahahahahaha. The guy is a tool. Didnt we bring in Cole and Simpson in the past? What kept him?
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted August 6, 2010 Moderation Lead Posted August 6, 2010 Great news Vinjay has blogged on the LT site that if we bring in a player from Manure he'll no longer support us. Who is this Vinjay chap? I've seen him mentioned on here a few times, Rovers mad and BBC 606 forum- and let's say not with affection
unclejack28 Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Great news Vinjay has blogged on the LT site that if we bring in a player from Manure he'll no longer support us. He should have stopped when we signed simpson then!
brian_gallagher85 Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 To be fair to him, I almost stopped when we signed Simpson...

Majiball Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I know its been mentioned, but should we be looking at him Good player. Diouf scores two or three goals from a long throw in unleaded's clip. He'll fit right in. ROFLMAO, perhaps now we will be able to vary it up between hitting Samba and Diouf. At last variation!!!! Anyhow I'm going to have a lie down I'm in shock that we've signed a player.

I get the jist of it, cheers. I've seen him post things on 606 before now (to general ridicule) but I shall refrain from any further comment just to be on the safe side
Doaksie Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 It is in The Sun, but the link never the less - New Deal for Jacobsen? Just when we thought a right back was on his way, we give a contract to a dispensable player who had teams looking at him. At this rate I'm gonna get offered a new 3 year contract.
AHoyle90 Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I'm glad it looks like Mame Diouf is coming, looks like our style of player, big strong and physical. Also got some skill to go with it so looking forward to seeing him in action.

Or maybe trying to get Lecce to bite a bit harder.
Doaksie Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Or maybe trying to get Lecce to bite a bit harder. I'm crossing my fingers real tight. I'd prefer if Chimbonda was to be the right back sold to release some more funds, but if the interest is there for Lars, he simply has to go.

67splitscreen Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Anybody now anything of the game Wednesday night against Wigan (behind closed doors) for Samba and Kalinic. Like anyone else of interest.
Torgeir Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I rate Lars, he's a solid full back who can fill in for Salgado when the ageing legend needs a breather Sell Chimbonda who doesn't seem to care too much instead, but my guess is he is on pretty high wages and not the easiest to offload.
FourLaneBlue Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Do we really need Salgado, Chimbondo, Brett/Andrews who can both play at RB if needed AND Jacobsen? Especially when we have a grand total of zero proper left backs? Seems the area of the side we really could be doing with getting rid of one of them just to free up a wee bit of cash.
Bobby G Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Yes, but who would want them and at what price? Its obvious Salgado will stay. So its got to be Lars or Chimbonda, and Lars is far more solid if unspectacular.
