Fraserkirky Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 I would mind seeing Jo here, if it was financially possible.

Driftpeasant Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 For what it's worth: Phil Rawlins, one of the owners of Stoke, is also the owner of my local side, Austin Aztex. I was talking to him last night at our match, and he mentioned that's he's almost positive that Beattie will end up at Rovers. He was a little more coy on the idea of Tuncay being sold. So I imagine that if Rovers still want him, we'll get Beattie. He also said we're one of his picks for the drop, which was disconcerting.
Hughesy Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 FATY...no idea of his whereabouts...I don't think he pulled up too many trees in training. Didnt he come on yesterday at Hearts??
Lee0r Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 No... Rovers: Bunn (sub Brown 61 mins), Jacobsen, Olsson, Samba (sub Givet 73 mins), Nelsen, Nzonzi (sub Linganzi 64 mins), Hoilett, Andrews, Pedersen (sub Morris 68 mins), Blackman (sub Mame Diouf 46), El-Hadji Diouf. Subs (not used): Doran, Gunning, Judge.
1864roverite Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 The announcer did say Faty had replaced NZonzi. Couldnt really see (alcohol specs) but whoever HE was controlled the midfield very well.
nicko Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Beattie to Rovers has been an option for weeks if not months, but the clubs can't agree a fee. Maybe he is the 'mystery striker' that some chunter on about. If so, farcical.
Amo Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 The announcer did say Faty had replaced NZonzi. Couldnt really see (alcohol specs) but whoever HE was controlled the midfield very well. It was probably Linganzi.
bluebruce Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 ROBINSON...good to see Fabio and his staff are taking the job seriously... ...how can he justify being England boss on £6 million-a-year when he keeps making mistakes like this...get rid. Sorry, been reading the thread but must've missed something...what's this about Robinson?
Amo Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Sorry, been reading the thread but must've missed something...what's this about Robinson? Robbo Calls Time On England

Iceman Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Sorry, been reading the thread but must've missed something...what's this about Robinson? retired from International football
mogster Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 he's almost positive that Beattie will end up at Rovers. I have had that feeling for a long time too. I had the same feeling about Sam Allardyce for years. Sometimes things are just destined to happen.
bluebruce Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Aslong as he is just the Roberts replacement them im not too worried, however wouldnt be happy if he was our main man. Would rather keep Roberts, every time. Shame about Robinson, for England. Will benefit us though.
Fife Rover Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 The announcer did say Faty had replaced NZonzi. Couldnt really see (alcohol specs) but whoever HE was controlled the midfield very well. ;)Hmmmmm! I think it might also be a case of "alcohol ears" 1864 . From where we were sitting in the main stand the announcer clearly said it was Linganzi coming on.
roversfan99 Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 I cant say iv heard of this Xavier guy, but his record is in Ligue 2 so we must be careful. I hope he isnt our main target
Amo Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Can you imagine waiting all this time only to sign Beattie? It's got Rovers all over it, eh?

If Beattie comes he can come as 4th choice. Any higher and I might be in agreement with Rawlins.
chaddyrovers Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 I cant say iv heard of this Xavier guy, but his record is in Ligue 2 so we must be careful. I hope he isnt our main target We sign Steven Nzoini from Ligue 2 and He turn out to be good player and our Player of the Season!!!

neophox Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Nicko: with Roberts and Grella both absent for the weekend games in Scotland there must be a move for them in the near future? An 11-O-Clocker??
nicko Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Nicko: with Roberts and Grella both absent for the weekend games in Scotland there must be a move for them in the near future? An 11-O-Clocker?? I did notice that too. However I have heard nothing fresh on either of those two today. But it is pretty clear both are not wanted and it's a matter of tying up sales.
roversfan99 Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Is Xavier just one of many irons in the fire at the moment Nicko?
