koi Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Oh it's awful from all sides. None of us are surprised, I think the issue is why didn't this happen at the end of last season. The general situation hasn't changed, we've known Milner going for ages, we've known his poor relationship with many squad players for months. Now we're entering a season with no manager, no prospective manager, Bob Bradley as a favourite which is frankly an absolute joke...oh and just to boot, our best player signs for Man City on thursday, I will assume Ireland will no longer be part of that with no manager at our club, we've apparently got no money and we havent signed ONE SINGLE PLAYER. Get ready for the collapse. Are you joking? You wanna get real and stop your moaning. Your owner has lavished over £100m on the club, you've been the second biggest net spenders in the league FFS! As for your best player; if Milner was a Rover and City offered us £30m I'd have a little wee. Try supporting a club that signs Iranian cast-offs.

Why did O'Neil leave really? Was the pot of gold empty?
Fylde Coast Fan Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Which players has MON fallen out with? Reo-Coker is an obvious one, and Luke Young, think I've seen Warnock's name mentioned as well. Can't imagine Friedel falling out with anyone. O'Neill's style isn't for everyone, I guess.
Doaksie Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Why did O'Neil leave really? Was the pot of gold empty? The Randy Learner has run out of lucky charms!
blue/white Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 For what it's worth: Phil Rawlins, one of the owners of Stoke, is also the owner of my local side, Austin Aztex. I was talking to him last night at our match, and he mentioned that's he's almost positive that Beattie will end up at Rovers. He was a little more coy on the idea of Tuncay being sold. So I imagine that if Rovers still want him, we'll get Beattie. He also said we're one of his picks for the drop, which was disconcerting. F him~

Get ready for the collapse. Tom you may be surprised at some of the replies that you received about your sadness at the loss of your fine manager. I will try to help you understand why this is so. 1) Rovers have been raped more ruthlessly and thoroughly by bigger clubs for our managers, training staff, and players than a German woman after the fall of Berlin. 2) We regularly shop at the football equivalent of Oxfam for players. 3) We get excited about loan players Kleenex and Johnsons Baby Oil sales skyrocketed in the Blackburn area after the signing of Spit Jr. 4) You support Villa. I could only have pity for your plight and imminent collapse if you signed Ince as replacement for MON.
neophox Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 What about Martin O'Neill joing us and Bg Sam goes to Villa. And then there's a £300m takeover and Rovers conquer Europe! That would be nice-...in a dream.
rebelmswar Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 What about Martin O'Neill joing us and Bg Sam goes to Villa. I would rather be skinned.
ewoodpo Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Didn't realise this had turned into the MON and Villa thread .

rebelmswar Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Didn't realise this had turned into the MON and Villa thread . It ties in with a player we are supposedly trying to sign.

Exiled_Rover Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 F him~ Clearly he doesn't know much about football.
den Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Was in Northcote Manor circa half an hour ago and there was talk between a small group (not a clue who they were) of Rovers revealing a new signing tomorrow. For those who don't know, this place is just around the corner from Brockhall and Rovers do use for 'special' entertaining (a la carte is c£60/head and this was one of Woy Hodgson's favourite haunts). Type of people who use this place tend to be influential and 'in the know' - that excludes me! Teymourian?
Hughesy Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 What about Martin O'Neill joing us and Bg Sam goes to Villa. And then there's a £300m takeover and Rovers conquer Europe! That would be nice-...in a dream. I would be gutted...MON is the most boring, over-rated manager out their and I cant stand him!
Fylde Coast Fan Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 If we got O'Neill and they brought back the half season ticket in reverse it'd be a great deal. Sadly his teams don't seem to win after Christmas.
John Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Teymourian? Happy be proved wrong, and the manager knows him best, but don't see the point of this (potential) signing...
Bing Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 5 live have said the catalyst was the board agreeing to sell Friedel to Fulham without O'Neill agreeing.
Exiled_Rover Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 5 live have said the catalyst was the board agreeing to sell Friedel to Fulham without O'Neill agreeing. Ha! He wouldn't last five minutes at Ewood Park.
Balwer Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 There will be a Guiza update in the next LT according to Paul Plunkett on Twitter.
BPF Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 The Update: There is nothing to that rumour but the mystery striker is still underway...
Hi Mack Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 The Update: There is nothing to that rumour but the mystery striker is still underway... The LT knows where not after Rooney or Messi but like BPF added JW HAS had a telephone conversation with someone today! More as it breaks!
Iceman Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 is there a job at the LT for me? All i would have to say, is that there has been a bid made for a mystery striker. The next day, il just add a 2nd bid has been made. The following day, il just squash all rumours, but maintain we have somebody lined up.
