Amo Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 This topic should be locked and thrown into the fires of Mount Doom until we come remotely close to signing someone. At the moment, it's just a pointless exercise.
roversfan99 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 If hes hoping to impress then we should be ok
Guest roverspogges Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Slippery hot dogs have an important place in the overall context of things. It's not about the buns or the fried onions it's more than likely the mustard and tomato sauce IS though.
nicko Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 is it true what is being said on blackburn mad forum that benjani is training with the rovers teams this week hoping to impress and get a contract ? There is someone fitting his description around...unable to confirm as there are more pressing matters elsewhere right now...
roversfan99 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 ANYONE BUT BENJANI. is Guiza not a pressing matter, is it completely dead? Guiza and Benjani are the best and worst names to be linked with us, all in a couple of days too. This is stupid, were not getting anywhere
Balwer Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 ANYONE BUT BENJANI. is Guiza not a pressing matter, is it completely dead? Well we're passing a collection plate around the club, the Dani Guiza Fund, but at this stage it looks like we're a fair way short of the £5m we need. By my calculations about £4.9998m short....
Balwer Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Who robbed the £0.0002m? Was planning on keeping it as a 'commission'
blue/white Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 is it true what is being said on blackburn mad forum that benjani is training with the rovers teams this week hoping to impress and get a contract ? Yes, absolutely true. He's also staying after training to assist the kitmen w/ polishing boots, washing kits, etc. Benjani has also been seen inside the offices clearing out the trash bins from JW's and BS's office. Moreover: it is rumored that he also makes a brillant cup of tea. I'm sure the 2 pence are to pay for the collection plate, no???
rebelmswar Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Moreover: it is rumored that he also makes a brillant cup of tea. I am shocked that he can slot the bags into the pot.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Afrer months of speculation of various signings, we will probably end up with Benjani on a pay as you play deal and Beattie as a panic signing. I'm so drained and the season hasn't even began yet. It isn't easy being a Blackburn fan!
LeChuck Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 ANYONE BUT BENJANI. I dunno... Roberts out and Benjani in, then all of the funds on a goalscoring wide striker. I think we'd be sorted then. It's beginning to look increasingly unlikely that we can find someone better than Kalinic. Hardly surprising really given that we have roughly half the money that he cost to spend. Given that we have M. Diouf now, I think we'll be more of a goal threat if we get a goalscorer in midfield, preferably right wing as Dunn and Olsson are good enough already.
nicko Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Not ID'd him yet, but have found out Benjani pulled out of going to a club in Riyadh at the start of the week. He is interested in finding a club in England for the rest of the eyar as he qualifies for a UK passport in January if he stays that long. No idea how he would pass a medical or get a work permit. If it is him then this really needs some explaining.
roversfan99 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 All Benjani had was his work rate and fitness and if he struggles to pass a medical thats gone. If were getting him as the main striker then thats pathetic, and id rather not have a 4th choice.

Backroom Tom Posted August 10, 2010 Backroom Posted August 10, 2010 I'll get shot down for it but if and it's a big if we can get any cash for Roberts an replace him with benjani on a free and then splash out on a guiza or pentecote I'd take it
Jamesw1982 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Nicko i didsay yesterday that benjani was being re-linked to us. Heard it from some1 down at brockhall.
Majiball Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Well if we sign Banjoni at least we will al know what we can build on the empty ground near the ground where the old church was. A Hospital.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 We've got enough players to fill it Would help increase the amount of jobs in the area too.
roversfan99 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Which means more people can buy season tickets, this is a great plan...
JAL Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Benjani shouldnt even be plying his trade in England... never mind at Rovers.
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Benjani would be a terrible signing and with his recent failure at passing medicals it would be a complete waste of time if he is training with us. I would rather keep Roberts and that is coming from someone who is desperate to get rid of him.
Majiball Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 He can come but only on a Mido £1,000 a week deal. I do echo Ribbles comments though, talk about scraping the barrel. If he signs I hope the swear filter can cope with my post.
RoyRover Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 If after doing so well to finish in the top 10 last season, we end up signing Benjani as our main striker then it is absolutely pathetic. We may as well have finished in 17th, for all the good the money would have done us.
