Hi Alan

Just two questions.

(1) The Dembele deal - Brum got cut off, Fulham seem to be inching closer - was this the guy who prefers football in London that we had to make a decision upon?

(2) The proposed Teymourian deal - did he not get a work permit, or just not in time for tomorrows game - but would be processed before the transfer window closes?

Thanks.

Don't agree with people saying we should wait till Jan to sign players. What if we're bottom of the league???? no-one would want to sign for us unless offered silly money with relegation get out clauses etc etc. We need to strengthen now. We have such a poor talentless squad. What happens when teams work out how to defend the long throw in, we're doomed haha.

They already have figured the long throw out. How many times have you seen it work?

Does anyone else remember Benjani ripping us to pieces at Eastlands last year? Pretty sure I didn't dream it up

Just like I didn't dream up the countless crap misses I've seen him make. Or his failure to score in that game, even the easy chances.

Sam admitted an interest in that Huseklepp, who i read can also play off the front, so id expect someone like him and Benjani in maybe. That would be grim.

2004-2005 Fyllingen 57 (6)

2005- Brann 110 (25)

In the NORWEIGAN League. Very worrying.

I think Big Sam will send his Cheif Scout to watching Jelavic against Viila on Thursday (its live on itv 4 on thursday at 5pm). Also he will send him to watch Xavier Pentecôte on Sunday against Bordeaux. Then decided who we go for. Also depend how long the takeover takes to happen and for them to decided if they buy the club.

Ian Dowie has said on the PLTV that Sam has personally told him that the squad has stagnated and he needs one or two players to freshen it up.

we still got 2 weeks before the window shuts. Plenty of time to sign a striker and midfielder player.

Didnt he say last week its good to have the same squad.....

It is good. Stability is an excellent thing for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that the players know how to work together on the pitch. However, no team is perfect and tinkering around the edges (i.e. another striker) could potentially improve the Rovers end of season point total, considering our achieve with scarce goal scorers. No contradiction at all.

Ok well lets have it right, when Sam signed Davies for Bolton I bet you laughed a bit? But look how well he did. In our current state, signing a player that's lost his way a bit is pretty high on the list of options.

I know everyone slags Keith Andrews but, he's done 65 games and scoring 5 goals in the premier league and one of the best games I saw an outstanding Andrews at right back. I think he turned a game at that position. He's versatile and an Ireland international but will probably be his last season here when the takeover is completed but please stand behind the team tomorrow and Andrews, he's a rovers player.

I saw that Roberts haven't got any number, that means he'll leave.

Lost his way? Mate, he's never had a way!

The modern tactic of players and their agents and the reason that the transfer window is so sluggish. I'd imagine Grella, Zurab and Roberts want similar incentives to leave. Bullard at Hull is similarly mugging a dying club. Happening all over the place. Much shorter (12 month rolling) contracts will soon become the norm imo.

Just to add... on the telly tonight it appears that now all the personal terms have been agreed that Simon Ireland is now demading a golden handshake of 2m just to leave Man City as a makeweight in the Milner deal! Thats about as much as we have to bloody well spend!

Stupid stupid industry. It neither feeds, clothes nor houses any of us and yet we are all so happy to fund it!

I'm not happy about funding a bunch of prima donna, overpaid and over-ego'd players who only think about how much money they make or what they can get away with next. Football money desperately needs to change...

He started playing striker last season, original a right winger.

2009: 30 (15) with 13 assists

2010: 20 (6) with 6 assists

Not a fantastic goal getter, but a very technical player with good pace and passing game. Not very physical (186cm, 75kg) not really a lone striker, better suited for the right wing at Blackburn IMO.

Beattie update.

Good spot by whoever saw him at Manchester airport.

He has yet to agree terms with Rangers.

The next step is getting a sweetener from Stoke to leave.

Rangers not getting this done as fast as they want.

The only sweetener he deserves would be a sugar lump administered from the end of Tony Pulis's size 9!

Long overdue I'd imagine.Nice of City to pay it. ;)

Unfortunately all players are bought for more than they are worth, Beattie is no exception,

Look at Milner £27,000,000 and in my opinion, he is no more than average.

Ah but he's english so that makes far more valuable.:lol:

Imagine the money that could be made if you could produce one Milner a season from the youth academy. If some of the continental clubs can do why not rovers?
