67splitscreen Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Looking at Ghana, we missed out by not signing Annan. Also that lad who scored the winner looks good too - excellent technique for the goal What was Ince thinking about when he let Annan slip away. I've been impressed with the way he plays the game, so economical, his passing is up there with the best. 83% completion rate so far. 237 passes in total.
Mafioso Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Grella was a player with quite a solid reputation in Italy and for Australia. I dont really blame Ince for missing out on Annan to sign Grella. Pity his injuries ruined his Rovers career.

Splitscreen, I mentioned his passing the other day, a decent player but of course Ince knows about midfield positions, thats why we were left with Keef Was still full of running too after extra time!! Think he was still pointing too
Tim Southampton Rover Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Wouldn't mind us going after K.P.Boateng. He's got that creative spark about him and also a pretty good player too for a cheap price.
budha Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Wouldn't mind us going after K.P.Boateng. He's got that creative spark about him and also a pretty good player too for a cheap price. If the most recent rumours of Lazio wanting both Boateng and Belhadj for £8M are true, he's unfortunately not cheap, atleast compared to our resources.
Amo Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Grella was a player with quite a solid reputation in Italy and for Australia. I dont really blame Ince for missing out on Annan to sign Grella. Pity his injuries ruined his Rovers career. £4m for a 28 year-old who was already suffering with injury problems was still poor business.
brian_gallagher85 Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 For those who want Sam to add to the right back collection: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11676_6231665,00.html Actually, he plays center (which we have too many choices) and right back. I don't think he'd be a bad choice if we could offload Jacobsen or Chimbonda, especially as Salgado's last season is coming up. I would love us to sign Reid, he looks comfortable on the ball and does the basics right. He also looks decent in the oppositions box too. I also thought he looked better than Nelsen in the opening and final game for New Zealand
Bobby G Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Has potential. Highly rated in Denmark, but they felt he was too young to get into their squad for the WC, but wanted him to stay with the U-21. He begged to differ.
Majiball Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Splitscreen, I mentioned his passing the other day, a decent player but of course Ince knows about midfield positions, thats why we were left with Keef Was still full of running too after extra time!! Think he was still pointing too "I was a top midfielder I know one when I see one". Signs two to sort out our midfield problems and we let the good one slip away, guess Keith pointed at Grella and not Annan, when he was asked his opinion. Don't want Reid, World Cup effect and all that. I'd scout him a bit more in Denmark before considering anything. Sam if Klose has been offered to you as you eluded to one Al Jazeri TV, get his agent on the phone and sign him up!!!!

dj54nna Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I am told there will be NO major movement while this takeover thing goes rumbling on. However keep your eyes out for a trialist or two getting sweaty in pre-season training this week. Strange days. I'd like to think this suggests this bid is not only serious but getting on at a decent pace. But then I remember I'm a Blackburn Rovers supporter and I should stop thinking crazy thoughts. Dragged out until well after the window shuts and we buy nobody, anyone?
LeChuck Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 "Lazio are ready and willing to offer £8m to land Portsmouth duo Nadir Belhadj and Kevin-Prince Boateng." If only we had £8 million to spend. Belhadj at left back and Boateng in midfield would be brilliant for us. I think I'd rather have those two than a striker.
Amo Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Dunno about Boateng. Looked VERY hit and miss for Pompey, and looks like he's only pulling his finger out for the WC.
JC4LAB Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Pre World cup was going to suggest Klose as he was doing nothing for Bayern last season and look pretty miserable on the bench
Bazrakats Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Do we need to improve our centre midfield this year? I don't think we do. we have Pederson, Nzoni, Dunn, Andrews and the young Algerian lad whos name I cant spell. We also have Grella and Emerton who can operate there if they dont move on. Saying that Boateng is young will be worth quite alot in the future and looks really talented whens hes in the mood.

alexanders Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 we have Pederson, Nzoni, Dunn, Andrews and the young Algerian lad whos name I cant spell. You could give his name a try as well. Pedersen , N'Zonzi and Linganzi.
neophox Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Nicko: Can you give us any clues about the trialists or name them please?+
Oklahoma Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 According to newspaper "A Bola", Simon Vukcevic is close to join Olimpiakos on loan for one season with a possible buy out clause.
nicko Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Nicko: Can you give us any clues about the trialists or name them please?+ I will do if and when they arrive...the first couple of days of this week may just be fitness tests for the players around...hearing arrivals not expected until end of the week.
brfcshabba Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Raul mentioned once again in the Daily Mail. Seem to recall a poster on hotukdeals who was adamant he was going to join
Hughesy Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Raul to Ewood YES PLEASE!! Tribal - Rovers & Sampdoria make offers to Raul
