unluckymorton Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Consdering what I read about Bellamy saying about Rovers in Savage's autobiography I would not want him to back to the club. At this moment in time, as things stand he'd be a good addition to the squad, but he would be far from my first choice signing.
alexanders Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 What did bellers say about Rovers? Apparently he said that It wasn't him who was lucky to be at Rovers, but it was Rovers who were lucky to have him. I agree that he would a good addition to the squad, but wouldnt want him anywhere near anyhow.

Bellamy was by far our best player that season, and without him we would never had the chance to finish sixth.

Seems a pretty accurate conclusion when you take into account we'd narrowly escaped relegation the season before. Nobody likes hearing it, but it's probably about the same opinion everyone away from this club had.

His best season ever, adored, in the papers for the right reasons and propelled back into the limelight. Hopefully he's reflected and sees things differently now. Without us who knows where his career would have gone.

Without us who knows where his career would have gone. Without a doubt. I think we straightened him out a lot, and having such success and a good time with a club our size made him grow up. He's still provocative and out spoken, but in a different less 'gobshite' way to before he joined us.

I wonder what he'd say about us today? Although I think Riise might say bellers should stay off the golf course.
Majiball Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 What would people think about a loan move for Jenas at Spud's???
davulsukur Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Would be class if spuds would let him go. Did anyone find out where Sam had jetted off to? As Nicko informed us he had gone off somewhere.
HemelRover Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 What would people think about a loan move for Jenas at Spud's??? I dont like him but I'd be happy with a 6 month loan deal as he is(just) better than what we have.
philipl Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 What would people think about a loan move for Jenas at Spud's??? I'd think that if Spurs were letting him come to Rovers on loan, they would only be doing so because they thought he would screw us up. Don't imagine that the other Prem clubs have read about yesterday's events and not re-assessed where Rovers stand in the pecking order.
budha Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 What would people think about a loan move for Jenas at Spud's??? That'd be perfect. Better than NRC or Sidwell, but Spurs are not easy to deal and will rebuff our loan move and demand £10M outright instead.
MarkBRFC71 Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Wigan's attacking tactic against Blackpool was "just lump it to Rodallega and see if he can do something with it". And that's different from our tactics with Niko how ..... ?
davulsukur Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 And that's different from our tactics with Niko how ..... ? We score from it
brian_gallagher85 Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Not 100% sure, but it didn't result in us losing 4-0 at HOME to arguably the poorest team in the league!
Amo Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Not a huge fan of Jenas. He's vastly overrated and I've never understood how he got into the England squad.... then again.
MarkBRFC71 Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 We score from it Fair enough, can't argue with that! Would love to see Bellamy back, but City would have to pay a sizeable proportion of his wages. There's going to be a fair few City players in the same position I would think ....
47er Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Not a huge fan of Jenas. He's vastly overrated and I've never understood how he got into the England squad.... then again. Me neither. Even the Newcastle fans hated him! Anyway, according to the LEP he's off to Juventus.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted August 17, 2010 Moderation Lead Posted August 17, 2010 Don't rate him at all. Started his career quite well and got hyped up because he scored a free-kick against Man United- remember the commentary (Jenas by name, genius by nature) How's the egg on your face Mr Martin Tyler
T4E Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Me neither. Even the Newcastle fans hated him! Anyway, according to the LEP he's off to Juventus. He's been linked there for the last few years, would be no surprise if that came off.
unluckymorton Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Not a huge fan of Jenas. He's vastly overrated and I've never understood how he got into the England squad.... then again. I'll second that Topman. It's not a player I'd like to see donning our famous shirt.
Roberto Policano Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Nixon, Roberto, do either of you know how much anderlecht and liege want for Lukalu and Defour?? Lukalu - AC Milan were quoted £12 million this time last year.Looking at £15 million now. Defour - Would cost £12-14 million.
blue and whites Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 maby sam went to see this Dame N'Doye in the match between Rosenborg and FC Copenhaven which are played tonight. has been massive for FC Copen last two years, are great with the ball in his feet and even better in the air. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dame_N'Doye
Roberto Policano Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 He's been linked there for the last few years, would be no surprise if that came off. Juventus bid £6 million for Christian Ledesma yesterday.
