It is even worse than that - nothing will happen until the takeover saga is done and dusted. No transfers in - nor out.

No transfers in, that i can understand Pafell, but why no transfers Out? Surely, if we can get players out of the club, and get a fee then we should do just that.

I get up make a nice cup of coffee, sit down to catch up on the comings and goings in the football world as always. I spot your article on Jellyvic (SP) and think not a bad player wouldn't say no. But you had to do it didn't you!!!

If Big Sam fails he may turn to free agent Benjani.

Couldn't you just have left that part out?

Stone cold freezing, as it happens...

The manager and his scouts have do their job, which is identifying targets. Jalevic is right in the middle of the radar at the moment, has been for a couple of weeks after others slipped away from view.

However nothing can be done until [a] the manager is sure about the player and he has the money to buy him.

Still waiting on more word on the REAL big issue. The takeover. It is casting a shadow on everything else.

Hola Nicko.. you getting any hints as to timeframes for the takeover, seems this is more than a slightly serious bid and certainly a massive issue for us atm.. :(

Interesting to see that hull are looking at James Harper on a free. U remember him looking very good alongside sidwell when Reading had a good run in the prem. Only 29 and available on a free. Seems to have lost his way a bit but could be a decent signing if wages were not stupid.

The recurring time frame mention is 'hopefully before the end of the window.'

That does not really help too much, but maybe it is as quick as can be expected with these things.

*chuckle* had to ask though mate.. you never know there may of been more news.. then again its more than likely going to be in your 11oClockers rather than during the day :)

I thought last transfer window was madening this one beats it hands down without a doubt.

The hopefully part worries me.. and before the end of the window (31st August).. thats almost 2 months.

Apparently the movers and shakers have been busy.

My god, it's actually very frightening that this lot are involved in the takeover.

Tweets like this don't exactly show them in a very professional light – I bet John Williams has needed to buy an 'idiots guide to street speak' book just to keep up with what they're saying during the negotiations.

Have to confess, I'm very worried about this whole episode.
