Bazrakats Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Didnt Althetico Madrid and Valencia want Olsen? Wait till the end of next season when are younger players are being linked with multi million pound deals.
whiteinpeace Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 i think nobody else wants what we have. MGP couldnt even get another club! We'll have any strikers you've got going please!
AggyBlue Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 i think nobody else wants what we have. MGP couldnt even get another club! Someones finally found the answer to keeping a settled squad at Ewood through a transfer window... fill it with shyte
Mc Love Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 We'll have any strikers you've got going please! How about Roberts?
LDRover Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Someones finally found the answer to keeping a settled squad at Ewood through a transfer window... fill it with shyte Thanks Aggy, that's about as good as it gets.
broadsword Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Thanks Aggy, that's about as good as it gets. Got a +1 from me as well.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 i think dos santos would be a great signing , but has others have said it would have to be on-loan and i think spuds are looking so sell and i'm sure i heard or read somewhere valencia were after him as a cheap replacement for David Villa We should have a great chance of bringing him on loan with a chance of making it permanent. With no disrespect to Ipswich, we're a top 10 team with a good chance of getting into Europe next season as well as offering him a chance to show us why he wanted to play in the Premier League. He had a good World Cup and although he isn't the finished product, he certainly offers something different to what we've got. He's got pace, plenty of skill and is a player which excites supporters when he's on the ball....he can also be very frustrating which is why he's perfect for our club because we all like a good moan!
Backroom Tom Posted July 9, 2010 Backroom Posted July 9, 2010 Thing is if it's true he fancies Spain then it would be a non starter anyway. I think he'd be a brilliant signing for us but I wont get excited about signing anyone just yet
67splitscreen Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Another target bites the dust. Joined VFL Bochum Jong Tae-Se Annan linked to the big boys, ??????? agent maybe talking him up, although I though he was outstanding in the WC. Annan
Majiball Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Swapsies with Elmander? I'd take that. Aggy, cracking post.
blue/white Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Guardado is only 23 years old. If anyone have more of a clue than me; I thought I saw Guardado playing the central midfield role in the WC, but wiki says he is a left winger. You have Guardado confused w/ Geraldo Torrado.... the MF,who w/o digging into WIKI is a bit over 30 or shortly getting there. Andres Guardado is currently playing a depor and is an exceptional left winger/back. Good player. i 'd to see him in our white/blue--- Gio however is a completely overrated prat.
Clitherover Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Annan linked to the big boys, ??????? agent maybe talking him up, although I though he was outstanding in the WC. Annan It pains me every time i read that name...

I think Guardado did play more centrally when on, left of a midfield 3. Not 100% though
dj54nna Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Gio however is a completely overrated prat. A bit like Bentley then? Sounds like the kind of player we need at the minute. Diouf is way past his best in this department.

Don't think he was experienced enough to come in and make an impact I don't think we have missed out much on there & don't think he was exactly high up on the wish list. On the other hand Annan would be a good signing but after the W/C his price would be massively inflated we could only prob afford him when this takeover goes through by which time he would be fixed up.
Herbie6590 Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 I would love it if Geraldo Torrado signed for Liverpool - to hear their fans saying that name with a thick scouse accent would be priceless.....a bit like "taramasalata" in a Geordie or "ratatouille" in a Welsh accent....sorry not strictly on topic.....!
dj54nna Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Word on the street is that Man City have put in a £25m bid for Raoul Moat. They've no idea who he is, but they've heard everyone's after him. ... ... I'm so sorry. But I'm so BORED.
philipl Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Notice how the German clubs are quietly signing their targets? The Bundesliga is undoubtedly the coming power whilst morons like Cook are paying way too much for players of dubious current form and ability.

The Bundesliga is the best run league in Europe, cheap tickets, standing sections and grown men being allowed to have a beer during the game.
RevidgeBlue Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Looking at the transfers made by Premier League clubs so far nobody has made any groundbreaking signings. Hitzlsperger to West Ham? Beckford to Everton? Boselli to Wigan? Fletcher to Wolves? Blake and Petrov to Bolton? Out of that lot I'd have taken Petrov for sure and possibly Boselli but I don't know too much about him. Zigic looks a great signing for Big Club but he was out of our league financially anyway. We can forget the top 6 or 7 sides, who they sign doesn't effect us but the teams around us are not exactly lighting up the transfer market with their signings. Can't agree with that at all, two of our most direct rivals for the spots above the relegation places, Wigan and Wolves have invested 7m each in a striker. By way of contrast we have lost McCarthy and Di Santo from last season's squad with seemingly no money whatsoever being made available for Premiership quality replacement(s). Of course there is no guarantee that Wigans and Wolves new signings will set the world on fire but all things being equal they should both be quite a bit stronger and we'll be quite a bit weaker.
Majiball Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 I'm still laughing at Zigic's shot on goal. Can't remember which match it was at the world cup, but he ended up clearing the ball away from goal as opposed to shooting at goal. Here's hoping he transfers his form to the prem.
Roberto Policano Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Nicko & Roberto, I don't suppose you have any news on Arsenals comings and goings this summer??? Thanks in advance. I've no source in Arsenal mate,Only heard the Fulham Keeper joining, and enquiries for Melo & Benzema.
Bobby G Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 I believe one of the Arsenal youngsters may be on his way to Leicester City on loan for experience.
