Veevs Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 So it's business as usual, is it? Get a load of this... The LT has an exclusive on Costa and Deichmann coming to Blackburn: "now it has been revealed that ... Costa and ... Deichmann will also move" to Blackburn. Apparently it is confirmed and is NOT rumour. Deichmann is a definite shoe-in and, well, Costa is a legend before its own breakfast. I can't believe Costa is coming. Wake up and smell the coffee, everyone! It's part of a £66m investment and where do you think that dosh is coming from, 'ey? From your own pockets, you reckon? I doubt whether the whole town of Blackburn will be able to contain its excitement. Anyone coming to Blackburn this year will be treated to a right malling. Business as usual? Too right! Let the good times roll. lol

thenodrog Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Nicko said INCE wanted to sell BRAD. He at no point that I am aware of stated that BRAD wanted to LEAVE. ADB.... TimmyJimmy Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Heard it was a double deal involving Medio Latte. Rumour is that he's a tall white americano
thenodrog Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 With £2.5 million anything is possible. John 1. if we are to spend any more where will it come from and why? 2. What happens if we do exceed that amount and the new player proves to be pants? Look at the dosh blown to different levels on the likes of Grabbi, Davies, Dahlin, Cole, Ferguson, Amoruso. You know as well as I that that list could easily be doubled and more if you'd like to include the perrenial glass backs Grella, Warhurst, McKinley. The Walker people are obviously not willing to stick their hand in their pockets when experiences like the above must make em feel like the boy who stuck his hand in the fire. There is a lot involved in buying Rovers. As someone mentioned on another thread, one major factor is the training ground and [a] what you can do with it and what money could you make on it. Considering the reduction in asking price over the past couple of years I'd be amazed if the training ground at Brockhall was included in the package.
John Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 John 1. if we are to spend any more where will it come from and why? Where did I suggest we should spend more money? Appreciate it is the summer with no match action, however the only thing I would say is that I am surprised some on here would have expected a massive influx of signings, or "star names", by now. With minimal money available there will probably be a striker signing plus maybe a loan (unless some trading is done to bring more funds in). Of course the takeover talks makes things slightly unclear but as I have also said, if a takeover is close to happening, then I would be surprised for us to sign anyone under the current ownership.

Fella this is getting cringy now. You have been proved wrong, go lick your wounds quietly and stopping making it worse for yourself!
ewoodpo Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Thank god this one didn't happen. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3053000/West-Brom-loan-David-Ngog.html
Blue n White Rover Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Thank god this one didn't happen. http://www.thesun.co...David-Ngog.html Would make a decent squad player for Rovers. Wouldn't have him as a starter though, seen him play quite a lot for Liverpool last season, and didn't really do much to impress.
Kelbo Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Rather than just anyone, does anyone else on here think we would be wiser developing Hoilett? I think he has more in his locker than Ngog, Hoilett needs playing time, a run of games I feel will take the lad forward!
John Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Clarets Mad reporting we are in for Nugent!!! Is this recent news or is it citing the recent press reports from a week or so back?
Fylde Coast Fan Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 There's a difference between a transfer freeze - where the board have told Sam he's not allowed to sign anyone - and there not being any point signing anyone on a peanuts budget if money is going to become available that allows us to bring in a better standard of player, rendering those early signings pointless.
Majiball Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Rather than just anyone, does anyone else on here think we would be wiser developing Hoilett? I think he has more in his locker than Ngog, Hoilett needs playing time, a run of games I feel will take the lad forward! I too hope he gets more pitch time this season as opposed to odd bits here and there. He's got something about him and we'll only see it come out if he plays, if not out wide then as the second striker. His pace in the final 20 or so after we have sat in our own half for the other 70 would stretch the opposition.
Kelbo Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Is this recent news or is it citing the recent press reports from a week or so back? Cant really say, its been given to me by a mate who is a dingle fan today and that Eagles off to Rangers
Majiball Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Clarets Mad reporting we are in for Nugent!!! Bring back the -1 button!!!!

You do make a good point about Junior, I do feel that he is a little bit of a light weight at this moment in time .
John Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 How about keep our powder dry and give Rigters and Blackman a run up-front?
