Guest Kamy100 Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Reports in local and national media are suggesting that an Indian businessman is fronting a bid to purchase Rovers. Reports suggest that a formal bid was made on Thursday evening by little known Mumbai business tycoon Saurin Shah. Talking to the Lancashire Telegraph Shah said that their interest is serious and hope to conclude the deal before the start of the 2010/2011 season. Rovers have remained tight lipped, however John Williams commented that there was "real interest". There is speculation that there are other groups who are also interested in purchasing the club. The club has been for sale for the last three years, during this time there has been much speculation about potential sales however none have come to fruition, this time though it does seem that a deal could be on the cards.
