Beta Ray Bill Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 I do not have a criminal record. I would like to remain criminal record free. I am fairly certain I would get one pretty quickly if vuvuzela's were being played near me.
bazza Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 No to vulvazuelas thank you very much. What's a vulvazuela, Philip? The mind boggles.

bellamy11 Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Has anybody who has said no so far actually been to a game where vuvuzelas have been used? Consensus from SA is they sound great within the stadium, just crap on TV. Can't see them taking off over here though. Different culture.

BuckyRover Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Dunno where you got that from but everybody i`ve seen interviewed on TV say completely the opposite, I know people in South Africa and they think they are great. It think somebody on this board has also said similar.
Majiball Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Since you won't allow them, can I bring my bagpipes? TCO, quality. But I've never closed a web page so quickly.
SouthAussieRover Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 There were a couple being played at the local football last weekend. They sound ###### and are a noise pollution "live" as well as on the television.

Been to a beer garden where someone had one and it was horrible, you cant follow a song with them as they only have one note. I say no, and they will be banned at all rovers usa events

Consensus from SA is they sound great within the stadium, just crap on TV. Can't see them taking off over here though. Different culture. The vuvuzelas are fine within the stadium. There is actually a rhythn that they all play them at which in a localised area qactually works. Just that on tv it doesn't come across cos the entire stadium can't be in time with each other. And despite what people think you can hear singing over them. Cant see it catching on in england though.
Mike Graham Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 no no no no no They were selling them in the Sellafield canteen yesterday for only 50p each. They were going like hot cakes....expect to see/hear them at Whitehaven and Workington Rugby League! If we get them en masse at Ewood then you can stuff my Season Ticket.
Iceman Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 somebody mentioned, that if the Vuvuzela's are blown when the team attacks or when we score a goal, then it would be good. imagine Giggs ready to take a corner or free kick, and everybody blows their Vuvuzela's, and Giggs wont hear what Rooney wants him to do.
OhmiBRFC Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Not a chance! We should be able to create noise without the aid of stupid horns.
