Rovermatt Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Giants didn't deserve the play-off berth. Their disgraceful loss to Philly is all this season should be remembered for.

Rovermatt Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Jimmy Clausen can breath easy. Anyone who saw the Orange Bowl this week will have noted that Luck is an absolutely outstanding prospect.
Eddie Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 Odd one, but clearly didn't want to end up in Carolina and wasn't willing to do a Manning. He could have manufactured a trade though and I don't know what he has to gain by staying in Stanford...must mean that Harbaugh is staying as well. Interesting to see how the playoffs go this week. I bet on the Ravens to win the superbowl when they had their dip in form (tried to take advantage of the odds) and I'm not feeling very good going into the post-season. Think they'll win this weekend, but that might be it for them. Really looking to seeing how the Colts and Eagles do though.
Rovermatt Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 He risks a dip in form or injury affecting his draft stock but being adored in Palo Alto isn't a bad way to spend the next two years.
Eddie Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 That's true, but I lived in Palo Alto and grew up there while my Dad was there and can say that it is not exactly a football town. They like their team and this year has been a great success for them, but I wouldn't bet on them repeating it, even with Luck.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Looking forward to the game against the Eagles. The Pack has arguably the best defense in the NFC right now and when Rodgers and the offense clicks he can shred pretty much any defense. The Eagles are at home though and Vick with the form he has been this season he can destroy teams. My gut feeling is that we will win the game, though it could be close.
sleepyjack Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 If there's no NFL season next year then Luck might come out looking like a genius. He’ll at least have a degree from the college he loves and another year of football behind him. Carolina should still get a great player at #1; Da'Quan Bowers, Patrick Peterson or Nick Fairley would improve them immensely. They can still pick up a better QB than Clausen in the second round. Also, watch this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2l1HG3KrNBk
HemelRover Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Guess this Seahawks performance may end all this discussion about weak division winners not diserving to get to the playoffs.
grizfoot Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Marshawn Lynch baby! what a touchdown that just was. Not bad for the worst play-off team ever, knocking out the reigning Super Bowl champions.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Missed the game, looks like it was a cracker. Shocked to see the Seahawks getting through, perhaps the criticism from the media fired them up? Marshawn with the big play, wish the Packers had gone for him.
Eddie Posted January 9, 2011 Author Posted January 9, 2011 One of the biggest choke-jobs in NFL history. No part of the Saints game was particularly good. They could have cruised that game from 10 points up and instead went to sleep for 2 1/2 quarters.
Rovermatt Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 What hustle by the Seahawks for their big TD. Awesome. If I were a Saints fan though I'd be unbelievably annoyed.
Eddie Posted January 9, 2011 Author Posted January 9, 2011 Colts out as well now. Special teams blew it for them, not to mention a ridiculous call on 3rd down (although the Jets went one better on that front)
HemelRover Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Colts out as well now. Special teams blew it for them, not to mention a ridiculous call on 3rd down (although the Jets went one better on that front) My Sky+ stopped recording just as the ball was snapped by the Jets for that FG attempt. Really annoying. Wouldve enjoyed the look on Peyton Mannings face. Very professional performance by the Packers so far.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 5 Point game, 2 mins left and Eagles have the ball. Having a heart attack right now, praying the Pack can hold on.
sleepyjack Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 My Sky+ stopped recording just as the ball was snapped by the Jets for that FG attempt. Really annoying. Wouldve enjoyed the look on Peyton Mannings face. It was better still to see the Manningface after his idiot coach called that time out to help the Jets move further into FG range.
Eddie Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 Feel sorry for Manning. I know that he had that 3 or 4 game stretch where he threw a lot of interceptions, but it is really quite miraculous that they ended up with such a good record given the number of injuries that they had and their problems on defense. He had a fantastic season and it will be completely overshadowed by Brady.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Very happy with the Packers win. Was biting my nails towards the end and was about to have a heart attack, with 2 mins left and Vick with the ball I thought there was a good chance we were going out. Falcons next, will be tough but I think we have a chance.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 John Fox is the new Broncos HC. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ycn-7611570
HemelRover Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 This Steelers Ravens game is ace. 3rd Quarter was perfect by the Steelers(and yes it helps im a Steelers fan)
sleepyjack Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Superb game so far. Hope the Ravens can pull themselves together, no offense HR.
HemelRover Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Superb game so far. Hope the Ravens can pull themselves together, no offense HR. None taken mate. Personally, I hope we keep on pulling them apart. Bye the way. That Manningface link is hialrious. I was denied seeing his face as the Jets won last week as my Sky+ decided to stop recording the game just as the snap for that FG went into the air. Few choice words exited my mouth at that point.
sleepyjack Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Great turn around by the Steelers. No fan of any of the AFC teams remaining, though I can only hope someone destroys the Patriots.
HemelRover Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Great turn around by the Steelers. No fan of any of the AFC teams remaining, though I can only hope someone destroys the Patriots. We will try to give it a go mate. Who do you follow? What a game though. Wow!
sleepyjack Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Saints fan. Hoping for any NFC team to win the Super Bowl now. Except for the Bears, who can die in hell.
