RibbleValleyRover Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Packers had a great first half, hope they can keep it up.

BangkokRover Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Very good display of how to play American Football by the Packers. Not a lot most teams can do against the Packers when they are playing this well.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Game over. Pack to face the Bears or Seahawks in the NFCCG
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Seahawks you think they have a chance? I'm expecting the Bears to win though it wouldn't surprise me at all if the Seahawks win. They beat the Saints last week which was a big shock and iirc they beat the Bears in the regular season this year.
BangkokRover Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 The Saints have been misfiring all season. Great win by the Seahawks thou as you said. I have a soft spot as I remember them in the 80's. Texans maybe my team but they are miles away from the play offs. Bears v Packers should be a classic Championship game.
modes98 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I'm glad the Packers are coming through strong. It has nothing to do with them being my pick at the start of the season and being due £50 if they win it Rodgers is on fire and has 4 or 5 legitimate WR targets, never mind 2 good running backs. Packers v Patriots Superbowl.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 So the games are: AFC Championship- Jets @ Steelers. NFC Championship- Packers @ Bears.
sleepyjack Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Packers become the first 6th seed from the NFC to make it to the Super Bowl.

If it's the Jets we play or the Steelers we will have to play a lot better than tonight if we are to have a chance of winning it.
American Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Bears also have a great defense. If they could just get a QB with some leadership.
HemelRover Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 9.5 minute TD drive from kick off by the Steelers. Good start for my guys. Big Ben doesnt do easy does he. Larangitis and that knee to the thigh as well.
sleepyjack Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Rapists are still allowed to wear thigh pads.
HemelRover Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Rapists are still allowed to wear thigh pads. Ahem, allegedly,
Rovermatt Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I can only see the Steelers winning it now. Fantastic team.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I can only see the Steelers winning it now. Fantastic team. I would expect them to be favourites as they have been there and done it before. The key for me is looking into how Brady destroyed them. Brady kept spreading the ball around and made it vrery difficult for the Steelers defence. With Rodgers and the WR Corps,(one of the very best in the league) we have we could implement a similar gameplan.

With Brady beating us its always the short to midrange dump off passes that destroy us. If you can call your gameplan like that you will win.
modes98 Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Really? It depends if they can stop the packers. Rodgers has so many options and he finds them almost every time, how do you cover them all. It'll be a high scorer but Packers win to net me £50
Eddie Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 It may well come down to the Steelers weakened offensive line. The Packers were my pre-season pick and I bet on them again when they were struggling a few games into the season when the injuries were piling up for them, so I would be quite happy if they won, but I think that the Steelers will cause them a lot of problems. Steelers 24-17 Packers ...from a betting standpoint: The over/under for this game is 44.5. Can anyone really see there being more than 44 points?
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 I have absolutely no interest in the sport as I find it so bloody boring to watch, but what the hell is up with there being no Cheerleaders at this years Super Bowl?
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 I have absolutely no interest in the sport as I find it so bloody boring to watch, but what the hell is up with there being no Cheerleaders at this years Super Bowl? Because both sides in the Superbowl this year don't have cheerleading squads. Packers haven't had one since 1988 and the Steelers 1969.
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 I know that they don't have them, I just think that it's odd that not all teams don't have them. I never knew this before this week. Kind of explains why Radio 1 and SSN haven't been going on about having them in some time this week
