67splitscreen Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Installing a winning mentality???. Never good losing to opposition from lower leagues. The supporters who have gone there will be gutted.

G Somerset Rover Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 I don't care about the score but why the heck do we not have one recognized striker in the squad?! That's taking the p!ss. How are we meant to learn anything pre-season with Hoilett up top on his own?!
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Even though its a 'friendly' its still more about local pride and passion for me.By all means play a scratch side against Huddersfield but not against this lot!
brfc_jonesy Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 At least we are keeping up our cracking away record )
Dan Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Maybe Sam will learn that Andrews is out of his depth even against this lot? Or maybe not.
Amo Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Maybe Sam will learn that Andrews is out of his depth even against this lot? Or maybe not. It truly saddens me that Andrews & Pedersen will be here for the foreseeable future, and cost the club in excess of £10m in wages. I dare JW to bemoan about lack of transfer options when he's throwing money around like confetti to these star players.
champions1995 Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Installing a winning mentality???. Never good losing to opposition from lower leagues. The supporters who have gone there will be gutted. I remember Spurs won all 7 pre season games in 2008-09 but started the season with 2 points from their first 8 games, resulting in the sacking of Juane Ramos. Winning pre season games doesn't mean that a winning mentality will be carried into the league season. I agree with the other two points and this is becoming depressing.
CrazyIvan Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 What the hell is this ref on? Just given a shocking penalty decision. Salgado won the ball in the air and the ref gave a pen. Not the only decision he's got wrong tonight...
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 I eagerly await predictions of doom along with absolutely unavoidable foot stamping and bed wetting.
MarkBRFC71 Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Why the fook are we playing 4-5-1 in a FRIENDLY, when we are 2-0 down (now 3-0), against a Championship team?! We could put Branco on, or push Pedersen up there with Junior. Negative as fook - I want my tenner back! I know it's only a friendly but there is at least local pride at stake ....

I was referring more to Sam's comments not to long ago, point taken though. I just hate seeing us get beat by neighbours.
Amo Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 I eagerly await predictions of doom along with absolutely unavoidable foot stamping and bed wetting. It's a ###### result. No one can say otherwise.
RibbleValleyRover Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Surely there was someone who could have put up front? I know we have only two recognised first team strikers, but surely a forward from the academy or reserves could have had a go.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Agreed. But some are, and will, say that based on this we're going down/going to struggle. We won the league with a crap pre season iirc.
Manoid Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Hope we don't have a season of playing this negative trash to look forward to...
Ricky Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Sam forcing the hand of the board into buying a forward maybe??
champions1995 Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 I was referring more to Sam's comments not to long ago, point taken though. I just hate seeing us get beat by neighbours. Agreed, especially in this manner.
SamTheShrew Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 worrying that that is an 11 we could see taking to the pitch this season given a few injuries...
MarkBRFC71 Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Agreed, especially in this manner. Yep, we've been embarrassingly bad ....
cn174 Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 This is truly ###### abysmal. Fans have taken to pretending we've scored goals, thats how bad it is.

We could put Branco on, or push Pedersen up there with Junior. Negative as fook - I want my tenner back! This is the way Sam plays and he'll most likely keep us up playing like this. Better get used to it :-) maybe when we're 'Bollywood Rovers' things might change :-D
RevidgeBlue Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 There's a big difference between knowing you have a strong squad yet having a poor pre season, and having a glaringly substandard squad and performing accordingly in pre season. Our midfield is shockingly poor by Premiership standards and our striking options are practically non existent should anyone suffer a loss of form/injury/suspension.
EnglishChris Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Get the chant going earlly this season hey guys "Big Sam out lmao
RevidgeBlue Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Sam forcing the hand of the board into buying a forward maybe?? That was my first thought too.
