Full draw is: Dynamo Kiev v Ajax Zenit St Petersburg v Auxerre Werder Bremen v Sampdoria Braga v Sevilla Young Boys v TOTTENHAM FK Partizan v Anderlecht Sparta Prague v MSK Zilina Basel v FC Sheriff Rosenborg v Copenhagen Salzburg v Hapoel Tel-Aviv The first four there are killers. Some real whipping boys will come out of those ties at the bottom though.

Iceman Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 i knew they would draw an easyish team... I can also see them blowing it big time, and losing that tie.
Clitherover Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Spurs have got the draw of their dreams- Young Boys. Has Gary Glitter taken over from 'Arry?
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted August 6, 2010 Moderation Lead Posted August 6, 2010 Has Gary Glitter taken over from 'Arry? Haha, I knew someone would go there At any rate, Spurs have a good side, they just need a few re-inforcements, and rid of a few players. Why they got Kaboul back in (other than to blatantly help Pompey) is beyond me!
1864roverite Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I say good luck to them. It will make a change from seeing the dross of Anfield struggling this season. At least spuds do actually play some good football at times.
philipl Posted August 17, 2010 Author Posted August 17, 2010 My goodness, Spurs got a real chasing in that first half!
Hughesy Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Hopefully it stays this bad or gets worse....if the takeover goes through it will make it much easier for us to catch them if they dont hit the £25m jackpot....COME ON YOUNG BOYS!!!
Amo Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 right Hughesy, errr D'you wanna be in my gang, my gang, my gang, D'you wanna be in my gang, Oh yeaaaah!
BuckyRover Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 I thought the Glitter joke had already been used in this thread. I was thinking about doing a Pete Townshend (the good paedo) one, but didn't bother
philipl Posted August 17, 2010 Author Posted August 17, 2010 Young Boys had there chances to put that tie to bed in the second half but fluffed all three of them. Got to fancy Spuds now.

Group H: ARSENAL, Shakhtar Donetsk, SC Braga, FK Partisan Group A: Inter Milan, Werder Bremen, TOTTENHAM, FC Twente Group B: Lyon, Benfica, Schalke, Hapoel Tel Aviv Group F: CHELSEA, Marseille, Spartak Moscow, MSK Zilina Group D: FC Barcelona, Panathinaikos, FC Copenhagen, Rubin Kazan Group G: AC Milan, Real Madrid, Ajax, Auxerre Group C: MANCHESTER UNITED, Valencia, RANGERS, Bursaspor Group E: Bayern Munich, AS Roma, FC Basel, CFR Cluj Arsenal, Man united and Chelsea should get through their groups. Can't see Spurs getting past the group stage. Group G is a real group of death...
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Group A and G are the toughest groups. I think group B is a good group. Going to be a good battle between Schalke and Benfica to go through with Lyon.
ABBEY Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 baton down the hatches ...rangers in manc again and we all know what happened last time.
philipl Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 Spurs have got a draw which they will really fancy- they can be underdogs mentally whilst looking at a set of fixtures they should do really well in. They are at the stage where they can beat the very best when things go well and get beaten by Accy Stanley when it is not their day. So better to get a bunch of beatable big names which is what they have got now Raffa is at Inter. What a catastrophic day yesterday for the Scots. Rangers get a bad draw in the CL, Celtic and Motherwell get obliterated before the Europa League starts and Belgian clubs produce a set of sensational results. Scotland is not getting that CL place back any time soon. Also noticed the Turkish sides were nearly completely wiped out as well. Shows that having money and favourable tax breaks buys you some players but no results in Europe.
Bobby G Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Group G clearly the toughest group. I can see Auxerre deciding who goes out. I even fancy them as an outside bet in the group.
Eddie Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I think Spurs could win that group, but I would certainly expect them to get through. Would be surprised if any of the English sides didn't make it through.
Bobby G Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I also agree that Spurs have an excellent chance to qualify ahead of Werder Bremen minus Oezil. Spurs have a good side and they may be more suited for European football even. I expect them in the final 16 or even 8 at a little push.

Werder may have lost Ozil but they still have Marin and several other German talents. Can't see the Spurs hype to be honest, i think they will struggle.
