rovers1995 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Are Rovers in the draw for the second round tomorrow? If so, who does everyone want. Wouldn't mind Preston (shut them up about the pre-season FRIENDLY victory) or Burnley. Haha

Backroom Tom Posted August 10, 2010 Backroom Posted August 10, 2010 I'd like exeter but they have to get past Ipswich first
rovers1995 Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 Morecambe would be a good one, at least we can't get beat by Coventry
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Bournemouth are out so we won't get beaten on penalties again by then Hopefully we'll get Southampton away, purely for selfish reasons, as that's only a short stroll from my house The draw is tomorrow night at 10pm

cn174 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I'd like exeter but they have to get past Ipswich first Exeter on a Tuesday night?! I'm all for new grounds, but that is a bit mad. Preston at home would be good.
Backroom Tom Posted August 10, 2010 Backroom Posted August 10, 2010 Exeter at home My brother is an Exeter fan that's why
Balwer Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Are we in the second round definitely? We finished tenth, is it the top 8/10/12 who get the bye till the third round?
philipl Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Only the clubs in European competition get byes.
Balwer Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Only the clubs in European competition get byes. What about when we only have seven qualifiers for Europe? I think it's the top 8, regardless of whether 8th place gets a Euro spot.
philipl Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 You could look it up yourself but from good ole' Wikipedia- Second round All clubs playing in the Premier League, unless they are competing in the UEFA Champions League or Europa League, as well as any (Championship) clubs that may have been given a bye to this round, enter at this stage and join the First Round winners, although Manchester City were not exempt in 2008–09, having qualified for the UEFA Cup through the Fair Play league. Three extra time shocks- Accy winning at Doncaster, Bradford knocked out Forest and Southend accounting for Bristol City.
Seggie Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I quite fancy a competitive home game V Accy Stanley, I bet its been a very long time since the last one.
modes98 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 When's the draw anyone? From the LET The draw is due to take place on Sky Sports News after tonight's remaining first-round matches and is expected to be seeded - meaning Blackburn and Burnley cannot face each other, but either could be drawn against Stanley. Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Liverpool do not enter the competition until the third round. Seeded: Everton, Birmingham, BLACKBURN ROVERS, Stoke, Fulham, Sunderland, Bolton, Wolves, Wigan, West Ham, Newcastle, West Brom, Blackpool, BURNLEY, Hull, Portsmouth, Leicester, Swansea, Middlesbrough, Ipswich, Watford, Preston, Cardiff*, Sheffield United*, Reading*. Unseeded: Leeds, Millwall, Sheffield Wednesday, Peterborough, Huddersfield, Southampton, Colchester, Brentford, MK Dons, Rochdale, Bradford, Crewe, ACCRINGTON STANLEY, Morecambe, Northampton, Oxford, Notts County, Port Vale, Shrewsbury, Southend, Leyton Orient, Tranmere, Scunthorpe*, Crystal Palace*, Norwich*.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted August 11, 2010 Moderation Lead Posted August 11, 2010 Stanley home or away- as an Accy resident that would be ideal
philipl Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Trips away to any of Leeds, Millwall, Sheffield Wednesday, Peterborough, Huddersfield and Southampton could be pretty uncomfortable and there are five Championship clubs this morning rueing their losses to unfancied opposition.
roversmum Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Morecambe, please, would like to see their new stadium.
Mattyblue Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Morecambe, please, would like to see their new stadium. Same, safe standing areas behind the goals, much better than, say, Chesterfield's new all seater.
heysham rover Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Morecambe, please, would like to see their new stadium. Its really good, I was there last night.
Ben-2000 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 AWAY Rochdale Stanley Morecambe Nob End or anyone at home. MK dons maybe, never played them since they were Wimbledon.
