rovers1995 Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 what time is the draw at anybody? 10 o'clock tonight on SSN after the rest of the first round ties
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Ooh a Pompey v Saints Carling Cup draw would be tasty if that gets drawn.
philipl Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Crap draw! Why? Accy at home to Newcastle and the Dingles go to Morecambe... Bolton's trip to Southampton, PNE going to Bradford and Blackpool to MK Dons are the sort of draws that nightmares are made of.
AHoyle90 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 That will do, should be able to give a few run outs without too much trouble.
rovers1995 Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 Don't no what to think. Probably the hardest draw possible but glad we're at home Don't no what to think. Probably the hardest draw possible but glad we're at home
Hughesy Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Home tie...thats not bad. 3rd round should easily be within reach if we take it serious enough

Backroom Tom Posted August 11, 2010 Backroom Posted August 11, 2010 Nice one, I like League Cup games, chance to see some of the fringe players, like Villenueva
Shabani Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 ^be nice to see young Jimmy Corbett get a game too
67splitscreen Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 A repeat of that night in 92/93 would be nice.
Blackburn Ravers Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 A repeat of that night in 92/93 would be nice. I always remember singing "we`ll be top at 5 o`clock" with about half hour still left to play, Great day even though it was p****ing down
67splitscreen Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I always remember singing "we`ll be top at 5 o`clock" with about half hour still left to play, Great day even though it was p****ing down Memory must be fading it was in fact a Saturday afternoon.
Mattyblue Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 ^be nice to see young Jimmy Corbett get a game too Let's give a run out to those promising Scottish lads, McNamee and Bobo O'Brien.
Backroom Tom Posted August 11, 2010 Backroom Posted August 11, 2010 Memory must be fading it was in fact a Saturday afternoon. Great day, Shearers chip was perfect. However I remember being sad for Brian Gunn, hadn't his daughter just died?
doctorryan Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 OOPS! We'll keep this laugh (and what was in your original post) between us Fife.
67splitscreen Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Great day, Shearers chip was perfect. However I remember being sad for Brian Gunn, hadn't his daughter just died? Just checked it, yes you are right, two-year-old daughter Francesca died from leukaemia in October 1992. His cancer appeal set up after their loss has just topped 1m in 17 years.
rog of the rovers Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 First time we will have played them since the 2000/2001 season. Norwich were the opposition for the first Ewood game after Jack died. I remember we won 3-2 with magic Matt scoring an absolute belter at the Blackburn End.
roversfan99 Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 We played them in the Premiership and won 3-0 in the 04/05 season
Manchester Blue Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Erm, last time we did Morecambe away it got very very very messy for a few BRFCS members Haha not to mention expensive for some as well!!
Gav Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Tough draw this one, Norwich are a decent side, and if not for a terrible start last season would be on the fixture list 3 times this season. Can you imagine the scramble for tickets in Newcastle for the game at Accy
