doctorryan Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 It sounds like AR12, Phil & myself are the only ones who can see this.

mogster Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Great start from us but Brum coming back into it now. A point would be great as I would have delighted with 4 points from first 2 games.
American Rover12 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Salgado to Kallinic under pressure and wide of the goal. Great linking up and passing by the lads though.
Backroom Tom Posted August 21, 2010 Backroom Posted August 21, 2010 Sounds better than our away form last season (touch wood)
American Rover12 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Jones having a go! Miles high though "Phil jones is superman" Great away support today, sounds like a home game out there. N'zonzi down after his own challenge. Not too sure what it is.
Clitherover Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 It sounds like AR12, Phil & myself are the only ones who can see this. I can see it, just wish i'd paid more attention to French at school though as that's the language of the commentary team.
American Rover12 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 One of the coaches over the crowd mic: "Dioufy!!! just relax!....just relax"
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Some good link up play with Kalinic and Diouf then. Diouf looks a different player, looks quicker than last season- perhaps lost some weight?
Amo Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Rovers enjoying a lot of possession but not creating enough real chances. When was the last time we passed behind a defence?
joey_big_nose Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Diouf is like a new sigining. Fantastic so far. Quite fancy Judge to get on the pitch for either Jones or Nzonzi second half.
Look4Me Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Sounds better than our away form last season (touch wood) Not often we've had 61% possesion the first 20 minutes, I would imagine. We've faded a bit since the first 20-25, but Brum haven't excactly set the world alight. Can't say I agree about Gamst's set pieces, though. I missed the first 10 minutes, but it was just the one that Samba got a touch to that actually hit the first man.. Olsson's showed some nice moves. Just needs to create something from them now..
Backroom Tom Posted August 21, 2010 Backroom Posted August 21, 2010 Some good link up play with Kalinic and Diouf then. Diouf looks a different player, looks quicker than last season- perhaps lost some weight? He was shown on Soccer AM this morning in his kecks, certainly has no fat on him anyway
American Rover12 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 robbo almost in directly! hahah HT. Great first half. Agree with topman though, loads of excellent passing but we get to their 18 and can't seem to find that gap. We'll break em down
Mr. E Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 we've bossed this game so far, but as it was evident before the start, we lack a creative playmaker to spearhead our attacks and create something.
doctorryan Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I can see it, just wish i'd paid more attention to French at school though as that's the language of the commentary team.
Backroom Tom Posted August 21, 2010 Backroom Posted August 21, 2010 How have Pedersen and Jones done in the middle? Always a bit of a risk playing 2 players out of position so to speak in a 3 man midfield
Andy Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Very impressive first half. We've had the better chances, had the vast majority of possession and looked most likely to score. Playing some lovely short football, which will please a lot of people, but I'd rather we were 'unattractive' stuff and winning, as per last week, than playing pretty football and drawing. Let's hope we can get a goal and make Birmingham come out and play a bit more.
philipl Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 St Andrews has masses of empty spaces. Good half from Rovers but little real threat.
Sandiway Blue Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I can see it, just wish i'd paid more attention to French at school though as that's the language of the commentary team. Moi aussi...
martmitch Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 62% posession when was the last time we ever dominated like this away from home? its not turning into opportunities tho, birmingham 4 shots on target to our 0
dazmaz Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I can see it, just wish i'd paid more attention to French at school though as that's the language of the commentary team. as can I, however mine is in Spanish... good job I know some Spanish TBH
rock steady Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 if we can get some support for kalinic we could easily win this game. what's with pedersen floating in the corners? need more pace on them.
Amo Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 When we played with two strikers. Don't go down that road. We're solid enough with the players we have. Happy with how things are going so far. Nothing to do with two strikers. If our attacking players stretch the defence, it would allow space to play Kalinic (or whoever) in behind. That's not really our game though, is it? I don't think Birmingham will be the same side after the break, and we could rue not taking advantage of possession.
Martin Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Excellent first half from Rovers. But no clear cut chances. Birmingham will not be as poor second half. A confident solid first half. Diouf looks like Zidane. He's had a great opening 45.
