rebelmswar Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 VAUGHAN - found out why he won't be going anywhere fast...Everton want £15,000-a-week to loan him and a fee of £1.5 million or so with the player wanting £20,000-a-week in wages if he goes anwyhere full-time...somebody may do it on deadline day though. Moyes just proved that he uses, and plays, Football Manager.

Jamesw1982 Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 welcome back nicko for starters. Ive got a feeling we havent mentioned the player we will end up getting IF we do get any1
roversinmyblood Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 What about Eidur Gudjonnson on loan? we couldn't afford his wages or a loan fee
nicko Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 What about Eidur Gudjonnson on loan? That one was considered recently, but he has his sights on something more glamorous...and in London. He may change his mind. But he may also be too late.
Ricky Posted August 24, 2010 Author Posted August 24, 2010 I take it he was THE player who fancied London Alan.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 For some unknown reason Popov excites me more than the experienced Eidur Gudjohnsen.
Torgeir Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Care to name any names nicko? Who's ready made now other than Heskey, Jo and perhaps Caicedo? Robbie Blake?
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 CryerRovers via Twitter Popov is definitely under serious consideration. Benjani is doing well from what I understand.Perea not sure anything will happen
Roberto Policano Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Cruz has agreed to join Lazio.Only needs to pass medical now.
rebelmswar Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 I guess he will be at city for the foreseeable future then.
beerwins Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 I would rather creative players named, its doesnt matter how many strikers we are linked with we still only play with one striker anyway, and with the way Kalinic is playing I suspect anyone within our budget wont do any better.
Amo Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Cruz has agreed to join Lazio.Only needs to pass medical now. That'll be an all-nighter.
Jackson Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Cruz has agreed to join Lazio.Only needs to pass medical now.
Roberto Policano Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Hearing he's passed it. Cska Moscow offering Moussa Maazou out on loan or sale. Not sure he'd get a work permit, but you could do alot worse than look at someone like that, very handy player.
RevidgeBlue Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 If Roberts went - and that is one almighty if - then there would be money. But nobody is expecting Christmas to come early on that one. The figures quoted last week - £750,000 plus £250,000 in add-ons as well as £33,000-a-week wages still apply. I really don't feel the alleged fee for Roberts is in any way unreasonable. I can however understand why clubs would be reluctant to give him 33k p.w. - especially if a Club from the Championship are looking at him.
RevidgeBlue Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Rovers have got about £2.5m (the Benni saving)for a new player this summer and that has got to cover all of the transfer fee, wages and agent fee. Didn't we receive a transfer fee of 2.5m for Benni? In addition to that we've also saved on his wage since January and it is one less in the squad so I can't see why the 2.5m fee should have to cover anyone's wages as I presume Benni wasn't playing for nothing.
Roberto Policano Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Isn't he from Niger? not a cat in hells chance Yes from Niger. So thats a no go'er then.I'll keep my ear to the ground and see who else is knocking about.
savage90 Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Anyone from England after Jermaine Pennant this summer?? Not that we need him here
unluckymorton Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 It's really depressing when we have to discuss which one is best(or who sucks the least), Benjani or Roberts... Is it really depressing? You need to get out more. We are Blackburn Rovers not Real Madrid. We are a mid table club battling to stay that way. Benjani obviously wants to play for us so he's a far better option than Roberts who has decided that his future lies elsewhere.

Sorry but signing players because they want to play for us is only one part of the equation. We need players who will improve the squad as I'm sure there are 1,000's of footballers out there who desire to play for us. At the end of the day if no-one comes in for Roberts I'm sure when called upon he will do his best.
T4E Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Anyone from England after Jermaine Pennant this summer?? Not that we need him here Then why are you asking? Unless of course you are Jermaine Pennant. In which case, you're a dick.
