Hi Mack Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 And the £3m for Derbyshire? If I don't read that, it's not true! 'If' being the operative word. Exactly! That was what my previous post was all about!

He was getting at the fact that you used Wiki as a source of possible true news. If that were a good source for information we should be delighted at having our lord and savior playing left back on occasion, not to mention Popov being able to run at just below the speed of light. observe My link
John Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 JASON Roberts starts for Blackburn Rovers reserves this afternoon as his immediate future looks increasingly to lie at Ewood Park David Dunn, Junior Hoilett, and Amine Linganzi also start this afternoon, in the reserve league opener, as they look to get valuable match time having not featured much so far this season.

Well you certainly could not get him any further froward in the sale window, at least were WBA are concerned. Scouts a plenty, order of the day.
chaddyrovers Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Nicko, have we put a bid in for anybody or anybody put a bid in for Roberts, Zurab, Brown or Jacobsen? Do you think the next 32 hours of the transfer window will be quiet for Rovers in terms of incomings?

Roberts is in the stiffs but my man at the game says there doesn't seem to be anyone significant watching him. No sign of the manager either I understand...

Do you think the next 32 hours of the transfer window will be quiet for Rovers in terms of incomings? Chaddy, your lack of communication with me is breaking my heart. I don’t offer my soul to everyone you know, and your silence is as black as borg and harder than tungsten.

Thank F### you'll be back in school later on this week.
rebelmswar Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Roberts is in the stiffs but my man at the game says there doesn't seem to be anyone significant watching him. Is there anyone watching him at all? One would hope that such an outing was the same as putting him on QVC. No sign of the manager either I understand... Does he often attend reserve games?
Iceman Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 The desperation to sign someone just became terminal. I thought the Warnock money was supposed to cover Salgado, but then who was the Cruz money supposed to cover? Benni was cover for who? Finishing 3 places higher cover for who? Who covers Niko? Who covers Benji? Who covers Jacobson? Who covers Chimpyboy? W H O? .---------------------------------------------------- H O W? .---------------------------------------------------- O W E? .---------------------------------------------------- ? . ? . ? , that sounds like our defence is all over the place
Steve Moss Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 If Sam left, and assuming the takeover goes through, we'd have funds for players, and that in itself would be attractive to a lot of higher profile managers. I just don't see that it would be a major disaster, is all. A short-term setback maybe. That's a big assumption. What happens if Sam leaves and the takeover does not go through?
rebelmswar Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 , that sounds like our defence is all over the place One of the five points I was trying to make. We are arguing for transfers with money that covered other transfer, we are not at all sure WHO covered WHO, or if they did in the first place. We do not know WHO we OWE or HOW any of the payments were made. We realisticly know nothing about the WHO, OWE, HOW, etc. The WHO, OWE, and HOW, all feed off each other. We are making assumptions based on assumptions that were made by assuming people who assume things about which they assume happened. People get enraged about said assumptions and assume the worst. It all adds to WOE that will be crossing our path until anything is completed.
1864roverite Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 If it helps Nicko, SA left home early this morning (prob with his golf clubs)
MarkBRFC71 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 That's a big assumption. What happens if Sam leaves and the takeover does not go through? Well then we're a bit fooked - I didn't imply otherwise.

MikeB Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 It would be an absolute disaster if we lost Big Sam - I'd go so far as to say that we might be relegated. You only need to look at Bolton post Sam in order to realise how good he is; we were dead and buried when he arrived and we improved significantly last season. The frustration that he is suffering now is similar to what happened at Bolton in his last season - he is wealthy enough to just 'walk' if he is so hacked-off . Looks like that we are all going to be disappointed (mild and diplomatic) with this window.
Mafioso Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Could Sam leaving indicate that the take over may not go through ?
brfcshabba Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Could Sam leaving indicate that the take over may not go through ? Nobody has said he is leaving.
Iceman Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Gordon Golfer, would be the ideal candidate to replace Sam if he leaves.
rebelmswar Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 We wouldn't be held ransom by players that's for sure.
RevidgeBlue Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 We wouldn't be held ransom by players that's for sure. Possibly because we wouldn't have any...............
JoeBlueWhite Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Nicko just said Sam was ###### off. Some people seem to have moved from that to its certain he is on his way to Villa. The truth is we are in the middle of a takeover bid. Its no surprise the Trustees who want to sell are not getting their check books out. Sam maybe annoyed atm but its very likely he going to be given [for us] a huge transfer kitty in the next two windows. The bookies still have BS as a huge long shot to take over at Villa so can people calm down abit.
rebelmswar Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 maybe so. Theno takes the Republicans "No negotiations" to another level.
roversam Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 David Moyes being backed into single figures on betfair for villa job Sam safely in the 50s
