joeh8 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Bar Brad, who have we managed to replace within 12 hours of the sell or before selling? Didn't we replace lucash with warnock within 12 hours when we sold him?

budha Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Didn't we replace lucash with warnock within 12 hours when we sold him? True. 2 in 3½ years.
rebelmswar Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Nothing concrete in Sam to Villa. Yet. He is not too happy with life, but he has not moved to the top of that list. For now. Your use of syntax almost demands this to be added to it. Followed by Mu Huh Huh Huh Huh and some hand rubbing.
nicko Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Does all the money on Moyes have any substance? I know who has been betting on it today...but I can't go into that here or anywhere. And I know who may or may not have made a little 'tap up' call last week. However I am not sure Moyes wants the job - and whether Villa have more money than Everton.
BigJackWalker Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 so whats the chances with sam going to villa? like is there a strong possibility?
gumboots Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 3 was Kevin Monney-Paquet, a speedy striker at Lens, French u-21 international...Rovers went to watch him but he came off...Lorient have taken him on loan today instead...his pace sounded interesting, a bit surprising this wasn't pursued. Well at least I'll be able to watch him next time I'm over there.
LessThanJake Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I know who has been betting on it today...but I can't go into that here or anywhere. Kenwright trying to get some fresh investment?
BuckyRover Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I just thought I would throw that last one in there. Spice things up on a Monday evening.
Doaksie Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I know who has been betting on it today...but I can't go into that here or anywhere. It was me, in a double with a succession of no balls in the 4th test. Anyone know how I'm going so far?

Villa are more interested in someone called "San" Allardyce. Quality journalism.

bigbrandjohn Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Why on earth was Jason Roberts ever offered 33k a week? Asbolutely beggars belief! Money is a bit steep but he has always put in a shift. I think he gets too raw a deal on this site. He has missed sitters like Andy Cole but he has turned games as well. Being a striker here requires special qualities not least of which is a neck like a giraffe and the ability to see a ball at 500 feet coming in your direction. Looks like Samba is the only striker who qualifies along with Kevin Davies
Bobby G Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Depressing final few hours of the window for the club. Puts everything into a darker light including our start to the season and possible effect on the mood of the playing staff and management (already evident). If the take-over doesnt go through, I wouldnt be surprised to see a free-fall.
philipl Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 One for the nervous BBC's minute-by-minute transfer window. Will be several others running in competition- watching the blogs watching the blogs will be today's best sport until stroke boy gets going on Sky! Anyway Guyan to Sunderland looks pretty real.
Guest Kamy100 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 In one of the papers today it says that if Stoke get Gudjohnson then they will let Tuncay join Rovers. Going to be interesting 10 hours or so, there maybe quite a lot of activity involving the likes of Spurs, Liverpool, Stoke and Sunderland.

Good job they've got Bent to take those last minute penalties then.

budha Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 From Rupert Clarkson, via text: "Bad news for Leeds fans, I've just seen Luciano Becchio's long flowing locks driving in to Blackburn's training ground. Top player." From beebs. Must be true.
Mike Graham Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 BFS on BBC Radio Lancs this morning says that the Benjani deal is the last dealing he will make this window....believe him or believe him not !?
davulsukur Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 BFS on BBC Radio Lancs this morning says that the Benjani deal is the last dealing he will make this window....believe him or believe him not !? Unfortunately I do believe him, which is a shame. We still have a domestic loan we can use, I have been hoping that presuming J bob stays we would loan in a midfielder
Bobby G Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I have no doubt Sam is as close as truthful at this point as possible. No point misleading anyone with 8 hours to go. Sickened and saddened though.
nicko Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I think that interview came BEFORE the Wigan interest in Roberts put a flicker in the corpse... Like I say, if Jason goes and nobody comes in there will quite a rumpus.
Guest Kamy100 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I think that if some money does become available then Popov is a possibility. Rovers were prudent enough to get his medical etc done while he was over on trail, so can conclude the deal late on today if needs be and he wouldn't physically need to be present at Brockhall/Ewood.
RevidgeBlue Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 The LT also states that unless Roberts goes there's unlikely to be any further activity. Abysmal window if true, Reid and Di Santo out and in, a knackered freebie for 12 months and a promising loanee without any option to purchase. And the McCarthy money seemingly vanished.
Bobby G Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Yes, Popov would be decent; however, worrying to think that Sam thinks he may need a few months before he is ready to get thrown in. The LT also states that unless Roberts goes there's unlikely to be any further activity. Abysmal window if true, Reid and Di Santo out and in, a knackered freebie for 12 months and a promising loanee without any option to purchase. And the McCarthy money seemingly vanished. Things have gotten worse and worse window by window. We used to nag when we had 5 million to spend each summer. Oh good days where art thou!
