And yet we can't afford him? Wasn't the Benni money given a boost when Sam confronted the board?

That went the same way as the additional place money, salgado has pocketed the lot because we didn't budget for him.

3 million?

Pounds...no way.

Euros...still unlikely.

Goats...now that's possible.

Agreed 3m is out of the question, reading their official forum, there are many comments regarding their lack of finance and needing to complete some ground refurbishments.

I mentioned the 3m only as that is what they were asking for.

Maybe as the time ebbs away they will be more flexible in the asking price, or perhaps some grubby hands may have been cleansed.

We live in hope.

Unless we do get robbie keane on loan til january when hopefully we will have funds to buy players.

More chance of Allarydce going on mine and Waggys Christmas card list - won't happen.

Di Santo to Wigan on a permanent basis is about to happen...good story behind it...but saving that for the day job.

That will be bad news for the Jason Roberts sale.

Oh dear.

According to sky, wigan are also interested in David Nugent.

It does sound like its over for us this transfer window, if we can't shift Roberts then i don't see how we can bring in Popov or Avdic.

I wouldn't say its been a total disaster, selling key players like Samba or Robinson and then no purchases would have topped what we are currently experiencing, but on the disaster scale i have to say this transfer window is pretty high up.

Pretty depressing and it could lead to some major problems this season if we get injuries.

Sign him at 1.5 million, give him away on a free a year later. Great business. At least he scored against Burnley.

Burnley goal aside, I think Chimbonda is Sam's major transfer cock up during his time here so far.

I've resigned myself to the fact we'll have Chimbonda, Roberts and Zurab here though, eating up huge amounts of wages and barely touching the first team.
