American Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 The scouts and manager have found plenty of players but the board / trustees are not willing to back their judgment with hard cash. You really are a buffoon. That's like saying that my wife gave me a budget of 5k for a car and then failed to let me buy all of the Mercedes and BMWs I looked at. The point of a budget is knowing the price range you should be looking at, not looking at higher priced players and begging for cash. You really are an imbicile.
Ricky Posted August 31, 2010 Author Posted August 31, 2010 We want as many clubs as possible in for Roberts, we may then get a fee for him.
Balwer Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Latest on Avdic: http://bit.ly/d9lv00 The loss to the MFF may have been Avdic last game for Elfsborg MALMO. The loss to the MFF may have been Denni Avdic last game for Elfsborg. - I know nothing. I want to hear about it when it's really close, "said Denni on all foreign rumors. Bologna and Blackburn have bid for Elfsborg. Chievo and Werder Bremen are interested and the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
ada2020 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Lovech specify barefoot on the sale of popov in blackburn or erculkes. So is that Bulgarian eticate to negotiate barefoot??? That translation is hilarious.

The point of a budget is knowing the price range you should be looking at, not looking at higher priced players and begging for cash. You really are an imbicile. What an idiotic analogy. Not even being given enough money to sign Ivelin Popov is hardly asking to buy "Mercedes and BMWs" now is it? We may have bought RSC and Benni in previous windows but even they cost £3-4million. How many decent strikers for a million pounds or under do you remember anyone signing in the last few years?
Messi422 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 From P Gill, via text: "Roque Santa Cruz has failed to agree terms at Lazio and will sign a five-month loan deal at Blackburn." Hope it's true.

Parsonblue Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 No, it's a joke. Since Benni left the budget hasn't changed - yet our manager and scouts have failed to come up with anything do-able within that budget in 7 months other than a Man Utd loanee. Absolutely dire imo. I think the management and scouts have identified players who they thought where within their budget ie the Benni money + extra for finishing tenth when only 13th had been budgeted for. However, the goalposts seem to have been moved by those above. Now the manager has been told to shift more squad players out and has been reduced to looking for free transfers and loans.
ada2020 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Negotiating barefoot is an ancient Bulgarian tradition. Shows how serious you are. Or were they trying to negotiate a pair of shoes into the deal, but that blew our budget restriction.

I don't see why the manager and his scouts would constantly recommend players to the higher ups if they knew there was no chance financially that it was doable based on the original budget. Would also be unprofessional in the extreme.

IMO that would be more like your wife giving you a budget of 5k and then after you found a car for 5k, your wife says sorry you can't have that because you've only got 3k to spend now.
rebelmswar Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Agreed. He's already been told that parsonblue but it's beyond his limited comprehension.
niggit Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Benni money + extra for finishing tenth when only 13th had been budgeted for. Not true, with Salgado we had to get 11th, but with getting 10th, ment paying out extra.
Balwer Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Maybe their expectations and wishes match the demeanor on this board for acquisitions of players. The difference being that Sam and his team are actually employed to make these recommendations, whereas this is more of an ongoing multiplayer Football Manager.
deftangel Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Is it really beyond the realms of possibility just to do the necessary for Popov, who sounds like he could fill in for Dunn at times and play as the support striker in our 4-5-1 on the basis that we can probably shift Chimbonda and Roberts on, saving their wages. Surely he wouldn't be paid as much as them put together so in theory, that's at least something towards the fee? It's really quite criminal we are at this point, regardless of who is to blame.
rebelmswar Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Not true, with Salgado we had to get 11th, but with getting 10th, ment paying out extra. 10 < 11 ? 1 > 2? As far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain, as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality.
Seggie Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 From P Gill, via text: "Roque Santa Cruz has failed to agree terms at Lazio and will sign a five-month loan deal at Blackburn." Hope it's true. From Skysports Transfer Clockwatch: 11:36 Football Editor: Another line concerning a Manchester City striker whose future has been up in the air and reports in Italy claim the Premier League club have blocked talks with Lazio regarding a deal for Roque Santa Cruz as they do not want to lose any more players. He probably would get injured anyway
nicko Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Little update on the QPR and Roberts thing. Their move for Rob Hulse would be £1 million plus a wage of £13,000-a-week. Their move for Tommy Smith would be similar fee but slightly higher wages. So their move for Roberts would have to be for virtually nothing to handle those wages of his. By the time they decide it may be too late for Rovers to react...
MarkBRFC71 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 He's already been told that parsonblue but it's beyond his limited comprehension. What's up Jim, you seem extra grumpy today? Did the nurse fail to accidentally brush her hand on 'little Jim' when she gave you your bed bath this morning? I comprehend it perfectly well, but it's still a farce. And my comprehension is far wider reaching than yours - FFS you actually thought Labour would win the election!!
