Backroom Tom Posted August 31, 2010 Backroom Posted August 31, 2010 Well some of zurabs wages are now off our hands let's hope we're ever so slightly closer to affording Popov
67splitscreen Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Well some of zurabs wages are now off our hands let's hope we're ever so slightly closer to affording Popov ?? is whole or part wages. 30k pw ???? Contract up next summer so i suppose he is in effect gone permanent.
riggers77 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 surely the trust understand that should we be lying bottom of the league come october then the value of the club starts to plummet in investors eyes. You would just think they would spend a little money to make a little money. Sooner there gone the better can't fathom there total disinterest in the club. trying not to get too stressed about the lack of transfer activity however im pretty sure there would have been a fuller stadium at the weekend had we made a few signings not even world beaters just some fresh faces. There campaign is all about taking back ewood and how football is for the fans but the club fail to communicate properly with the fans. If there is no money tell us there is no money and explain why we dont have any. We may not like it but so what at least you no where you stand and can make an informed choice as to whether to buy a season ticket which by the look of it a few people have chosen not to do so this year for whatever reason. (not me)
Hughesy Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Hilarious!!!!! Dunn - good player rarely fit. Mgp - good player, rarely can be arsed. Hoillet - And you feel he can play dunns role ? Hilarious? Are you talking about your well thought out argument, or are you on morphine? There are a 4th option. As for Dunn - 24 starts last season, MGP one of our best so far this season.... Hoilett is just raw, but he won't progress if he isn't given game time!
nicko Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Rob Hulse on his way to QPR. Fee agreed, just down to negotiating terms which should be ok. Don't know where that leaves Roberts.
Balwer Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Nicko any idea what % of the 30K Reading are paying? Twitter has two apparent sightings of Roberts, one in Port Talbot, Wales, the other in Stoke.
roversmum Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Zurab out on loan Interesting. I learned more about Zurab in that article than I ever knew when he was at Rovers. All the best, Zura.
Hughesy Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 30k saved on Zurab - thanks & good luck No excuses not to sign someone now.
roversfan99 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 They wont have his whole wage, we will need to subsidise most ourselves.
LeChuck Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 30k saved on Zurab - thanks & good luck No excuses not to sign someone now. I doubt Reading are paying him £30k a week in the Championship.
BuckyRover Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Rob Hulse on his way to QPR. Fee agreed, just down to negotiating terms which should be ok. Don't know where that leaves Roberts. I imagine it leaves him with the prospect of a chilled out few months ahead.
Hughesy Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I doubt Reading are paying him £30k a week in the Championship. They just took a £6m fee, so it's possible!!
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Rob Hulse on his way to QPR. Fee agreed, just down to negotiating terms which should be ok. Don't know where that leaves Roberts. Has Tommy Smith gone there too?
Kai Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I doubt Reading are paying him £30k a week in the Championship. On the flip side they did just offload Gylfi Sigurdsson to Hoffenheim for £4m-£6m... They should have enough to cover the £30k
colbert Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Zurab out on loan The way Reading big up Zurab i think he should be in our first team!
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Hilarious? Are you talking about your well thought out argument, or are you on morphine? There are a 4th option. As for Dunn - 24 starts last season, MGP one of our best so far this season.... Hoilett is just raw, but he won't progress if he isn't given game time! Can't see Dunny starting 24 games this season, MGP doesn't score goals anymore, Hoilett i just can't see getting gametime. The team is crying out for creativity. Whether thats from a winger who can put in a decent cross on a consistent basis, an attacking midfielder or a central midfield playmaker. We have one of the worst midfields in the league. On Zurab's loan we could still be paying most of the wages.
Oklahoma Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Nicko, why does an under 21 Spanish international needs international clearence to join a premier league club?
jim mk2 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 He's not blameless for the current predicament, but then neither is he entirely to blame. Between them the trustees, scouts, manager and board have managed to make a right royals balls-up of this window. Drivel. The manager has suggested loads of potential targets but has been rebuffed at every stage by the board and trustees. Why do you think because of his frustration at lack of activity there has been talk of him leaving the club ? If you cannot understand this you must be even thicker than you appear.
Balwer Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 For perspective, if Cardiff are apparently paying 25K of Craig Bellamy's wages, then I can't see how Reading would be paying all 30K of Zurab's.
davulsukur Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Reading just flogged someone for 6million, maybe they are using that to fund zurab
Kai Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 For perspective, if Cardiff are apparently paying 25K of Craig Bellamy's wages, then I can't see how Reading would be paying all 30K of Zurab's. Cardiff city were very close to going under very recently weren't they? I think they also still have a lot of debt to manage too.
