Amo Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Alexander Hleb [barcelona - Birmingham] Loan And we didn't go for him...why?
Balwer Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 It's been a quite one so far everywhere , haven't the big boys been quite today? The movers and shakers worth a mention so far are. DEADLINE DAY'S BIGGEST DONE DEALS SO FAR: Marcus Bent [birmingham - Wolves] Loan Alexander Hleb [barcelona - Birmingham] Loan Martin Jiranek [spartak Moscow - Birmingham] Undisclosed Paul Konchesky [Fulham - Liverpool] Player exchange Zurab Khizanishvili [blackburn - Reading] Loan Rodrigo Moreno [benfica - Bolton] Loan Matt Phillips [Wycombe - Blackpool] £325,000 Stipe Pletikosa [spartak Moscow - Tottenham] Loan Gylfi Sigurdsson [Reading - Hoffenheim] £6m Anthony Stokes [Hibernian - Celtic] Undisclosed You should be able to add Robinho to Milan to that list shortly, apparently.
LeChuck Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Is Cleverley an attacking midfielder? If so why were we not in for him?? You don't even know what position he plays, yet you're questioning why we weren't trying to sign him? I know deadline day makes people hungry for signings, but get a grip!
67splitscreen Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Any link? 3rd and 4th post from last on this Page
thenodrog Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Anyone know where BFS is today? Why cant we compete with Stoke for Gudjonnson? Yes WR and I'd bet so would you if you read Nicko's post back through the thread.
Hughesy Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Reports that Nugget is heading back to the dirty dingles!! :!: Rumours also that Spurs have offered £10m for Babel to try & snatch him instead of West Ham, its ok Spurs have until tomorrow!
ewoodpo Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 And we didn't go for him...why? Wages Topman,Hleb will be on silly money.
Gav Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 And we didn't go for him...why? Alexander Hlebs a footballer not a hoofer
michaelthomas Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Reports that Nugget is heading back to the dirty dingles!! :!: Rumours also that Spurs have offered £10m for Babel to try & snatch him instead of West Ham, its ok Spurs have until tomorrow! there's also a nasty rumour going around that macheda is heading to 'turf.
Hughesy Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Gyan to Sunderland must be almost done. Suggestions they are struggling to agree terms with his club already confirming if he doesnt, then he stays put & no other moves are set up!
ewoodpo Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Gyan to Sunderland must be almost done. That's a lot of money to spend on the back of a good World Cup, brings back memories of a certain Senegalese player who ended up at Liverpool who is now plying his trade with us.
USRoverME Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Alexander Hlebs a footballer not a hoofer Is that like being a lover not a fighter? what I love about deadline day, everyone has the same news sites on refresh, we are all reading the same material, likely all watching the same channels over there on the isles, yet everyone comes on he to repost it and re-link it, and we can read the same thing 10 times, with nothing new added. Only this time in 10-15 minutes instead of 2-3 days like the last multiple hundred pages.... wait, did I say "love"... darn english langauge, always confuses me.
67splitscreen Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Suggestions they are struggling to agree terms with his club already confirming if he doesnt, then he stays put & no other moves are set up! Would be a strange one letting him turn up at Sunderland without the fee being agreed.
BuckyRover Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 That's a lot of money to spend on the back of a good World Cup, brings back memories of a certain Senegalese player who ended up at Liverpool who is now plying his trade with us. I keep seeing this example being used but do not understand the point. El Haj has been a good premiership performer for 8 years now. He can't really be described as a flop can he?
nicko Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Schwarzer to Arsenal back on...Fulham have found a replacement in Alexander Doni of Roma...loan deal being sorted. Rovers-related? Well, yes. Frank Fielding was fancied by Crystal Palace if Speroni had gone to Fulham instead. Breathless.
Amo Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Wages Topman,Hleb will be on silly money. Then use the Benni money to cover the difference.
SYRovers Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Wages Topman,Hleb will be on silly money. We pay silly wages to players far less capable than Helb..
Backroom Tom Posted August 31, 2010 Backroom Posted August 31, 2010 Is popov in the country nicko? I imagine him sat in a car outside brockhall waiting for someone to take Roberts off us
MarkBRFC71 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 You don't even know what position he plays, yet you're questioning why we weren't trying to sign him? I know deadline day makes people hungry for signings, but get a grip! The second question kinda depends on the answer to the first. Keep up.
BuckyRover Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 We pay silly wages to players far less capable than Helb.. I think Hleb's wages will be a lot sillier than our silly wages.
