bluebruce Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Not good enough for PL imo , but playing and scoring up there will do him nor rovers any harm , think he may stay there till end of season and then leave for a championship club for 6 figure sum in the summer , good business for rovers Isn't he out of contract in the summer?

Backroom Tom Posted November 13, 2010 Backroom Posted November 13, 2010 Another goal for Blackman from the spot today
Smithy Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 He came, he saw and he went away again quickly
owenrilla Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Marrow is playing for Palace live now on Sky Sports 2 in case anyone wants to watch him.
philipl Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Marrow is playing for Palace live now on Sky Sports 2 in case anyone wants to watch him. Doing OK so far. Another old Rover Neil Danns has just put Palace ahead.
Amo Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 I hope with the takeover, Sam won't neglect to give Blackman and Marrow new contracts. Even if he doesn't see a long-term future for them at the club, we need to protect our young assets and prevent them leaving for a free next season. IMO, either one of them could play a part as a squad player next season.
m1st Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Especially Blackman, from the reading of this report: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/9207790.stm
Backroom Tom Posted November 21, 2010 Backroom Posted November 21, 2010 He has to be given a go otherwise it just makes a mockery of the loan deal, what more could he have done?

Commondore Posted January 31, 2011 Author Posted January 31, 2011 Gunning is on loan at Motherwell. That makes: Linganzi - Preston Doran - Inverness Blackman - Aberdeen Gunning - Motherwell
bennyboyt11 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Isn't Jason Lowe out on loan now too, in Scotland again, think it's Aberdeen.
m1st Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Isn't Jason Lowe out on loan now too, in Scotland again, think it's Aberdeen. Not according to http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20110131/transfer-deadline-day_2212158_2280759 this.
Exiled_Rover Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 If anyone wants to watch Blackman in action, Aberdeen will be on ESPN this evening.
Commondore Posted June 13, 2011 Author Posted June 13, 2011 Is Blackman back at Rovers now? After his initial success on loan at Motherwell he didn't exactly set the league on fire at Aberdeen (2 in 15), and will most likely not feature in a Rovers shirt again. Still, Kean might have a soft spot for him after his time as a Rovers coach, and if we are to use two forwards next season there are a lot of places up for grabs ATM.
Kelbo Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Nick will in my opinion never make a premiership player, hopefully, next week I will be meeting a friend who played at Motherwell, not with Blackman but has close contacts with the club, I will ask opinions, Brown obviously saw something in him to take him to Aberdeen, but towards the end of the season was on the bench, the same friend who told me Myles Anderson is a million (Myles) off being a premiership footballer.
vintageadidas Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I saw Andy Carroll for PNE 5 times and he was a million miles away from the Premiership, probably even further. Look at him now, he cost Liverpool £35,000,000 - still makes my jaw drop to the floor. Football is a crazy game, Blackman could bag a few, feel confident; put in some good performances and be touted around as a great young English striker. Score one good goal against a top 5 team and the world could be his oyster. Just found this: Danny Caro, January 14, 2009 Nicky Blackman this week became the first home-grown Jewish Premier League footballer after signing for Blackburn Rovers. The 19-year-old striker, whose mother is Jewish, joined from League Two Macclesfield Town. Represented by the SEM Group, he has joined until 2012 for an undisclosed fee/
Hughesy Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Blackman needs to spend at least 6 months in the championship, then we can see what hes made of.
alexanders Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Represented by the SEM Group, he has joined until 2012 for an undisclosed fee/ Old news. He came before SEM was connected to this club.
vintageadidas Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Old news. He came before SEM was connected to this club. I was refering to the fact this could push him closer to the first team.
alexanders Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 I was refering to the fact this could push him closer to the first team. Sorry. My bad.
A cup of beans Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Blackman needs to spend at least 6 months in the championship, then we can see what hes made of. he does.. but he's not shown me anything whenver ive had the misfortune to watch him. his 1st touch is worse than mame dioufs!
