:rover: expected a pasting from this game but thought rovers played really well and never looked like conceding whilst nelson was on the pitch.after 4 games we are 1pt up on last seasons results,4 pts from the next 2 fixtures will make for a decent start.:brfc:

Wow! I'm impressed!

I agree to an extent about the away support.

But you will not get Rovers fans paying £35 a ticket unless for one off occasions- Dingles, Blackpool.

It was only 2 seasons ago at City that we had both tiers fairly full- it was no more than £25 then.

Wigan, Bolton more acceptable pricing we will take 3/4/5000.

Secondly, can anyone enlighten me as to the words of the Gael Givet song, and not the Ole ole ole one. It was used a couple of times on Saturday.

What did it go like?

A few lads started this in the Darwen End at the Everton game.

Giiiiiiiiiiivet, wherever you may be,

You eat frogs in your home country,

It could be worse,

You could be scouse,

Eating rats in your council house

Or it could be this one,

He wears designer underwear, GIVET, GIVET

He's got designer facial hair, GIVET, GIVET

He f**k you up with half a chance,

We'll never send him back to France,

Gael Givet, Rovers Number 5

You've impressed me too. I like it when people give Nelsen some credit. :tu:

Definitely the second one- loving it!

Agree entirely Matty. For me (and quite a few others) add on the fact we don't live too locally so add on travel costs, and a thirty quid ticket means at least a fifty quid day out (by the way home games have a similar amount of travel expense!). The line's got to be drawn somewhere and for me it's tickets above 30 quid.

Somebody earlier posted about 30 fouls - what? Have a look at the stats - here

Wow just read some threads on blue moon, I thought some of our fans had a victim complex but they take the cake.

Apparently Dioufs actions were far worse than Adebayors last season but he wont be punished because he isn't a city player!

Didn't Chelsea fans think they were victims at one stage?

Red and White Kop forum is the best for hillarity. Sky, the red tops and anyone else you can think of have anti-LFC agendas and want them to fail, Torres to move abroad etc.

Eh? The media is ONLY interested in catering for the plastic fans of the likes of LFC.

Reading Bluemoon is shocking... they genuinely think that just cos they've had millions ploughed into them that they're now a "big" club  not even close.

At least when they had money they went and won it.

made me laugh, mind :D

What annoys me about Citeh fans is that they have watched utter dross for decades, been in the 3rd Division and they knew they were one of footballs longest running farces.

So where is their humility now? And to say they've derided Man Yoo fans as 'arrogant' over the years- they have every right to be! You've achieved nowt!

Some of their comments in the match thread are pretty disgraceful. "Blackburn have outstayed their welcome in the PL" ffs. Since when have a comedy club like City and their equally comedic fans been able to judge who does and does not deserve a place in the Premiership?

Does Sam get some credit too?

Have you bumped your head over the weekend or something??

Decided to post on there and give some perspective.

It's not made any difference Toppers.

They still reckon Samba had one of those days and will go back to being average again. They don't have a clue about football. Has no-one else noticed that the average City fan seems to be your everyday, big city chav. Their support seems to be made up of young lads, with a very small %age of women and children involved.

Wow, just had a look at Blue Moon, a heady mix of arrogance, ignorance and bitterness.

Just a shame that the Abu Dhabi experiment will inevitably lead to trophies being won, lets just hope it takes a while.

Worried about our away support.

Two reasons...

1. Live screenings on t'internet.

2. Until the issue with drunken boorish cretins who stand up to goad and mouth filthy abuse at the opposition / fans for the entire 90 mins are discouraged you wont find me going to away matches thats for certain. Maybe some clubs should try to provide matchday seats for away fans on the halfway line as well as behind the goals. Probably a non starter as it would mean doubling up on stewarding costs. Still stands though that I would rather stick pins in my eyes than sit stand amongst some of the above for 90mins on a Sat afternoon.

I think it's important not to pigeon-hole all football supporters, though. It's a form of prejudice, is that. At least one of them had the courtesy to accept my points and wished us well for the season. I'm sure opposition fans look at some of the "contributions" posted on here sometimes and have a skewed impression of BRFCS.

Just wasn't a suitable day to go. There are grounds where you don't mind going because it's reasonably priced, or you think you might get something out of the game and you are free to attend that weekend. There are other weekends when you just can't free up the time to get there. I prioritise my away games nowadays. Going to Blackpool because I've never been, Chelsea because the daughter gets free tickets for one premier league game and that will be a pricy one, so might as well have it free, possibly West Brom because I've never seen us play well there and perhaps this time we might, Bolton because we are masochists and love being frozen to the marrow and so on. I'm not put off by the boorish idiots who sometimes go just to cause trouble. I am put off by high prices and travel costs, the feeling that we have done ourselves few favours away from home for the last couple of seasons, and the high number of other demands on my weekends.

The best one yet on blue moon asking if West Brom, burnley and hull can come to the COMS and play football why can't we? I think he may be forgetting what happened to them.

They seem to have taken offence that some teams won't play to Citys strengths.

Maybe you're forgetting Burnley got a draw Man City 3 - 3 Burnley

Unless that's what you meant?

Mark Clattenburg failed to spot a certain penalty after 2 fouls on Adam Johnson in the Blackburn box including a simultaneous trip and push by Christopher Samba. It was the tip of a very large iceberg as Clattenburg failed to spot dozens of infringements throughout the game where Blackburn attempted to kick City off the park. It is very easy for people to criticise the Blues and those who say: “toughen up” should understand that if you are fouled and prevented from progressing towards an opponent’s goal and the referee doesn’t give the foul, what can you do?

MCFC Forum.

They really can't see beyond their noses.
