Nicko, aap kaisey hain ?

Making progress, I hope - can you please share with us who your preferred buyer would be based upon what you know ie Uncle Ali or the one you refer to as being the most likely mystery man.

Dhan-yae-vaed.

Hindi as pronounced rather than the written spider!

I don't know much about the mystery mob apart from the fact that they have been going about their business quietly.

It would be pointless passing an opinion on them or what they are about. Sometimes that can be an advantage, but eventually they will have to show and be put up for ridicule and analysis.

We have known about Syed for five-six weeks and look what that has done for him. If I was the mystery mob I would stay silent until the last minute, but make sure you have got your act together or else face the consequences.

I think Mike is asking you if you are willing to have his babies.

Oh,

Well he could ask me out for dinner first. I do so very much like the business types with connections.

On Topic again,

Cant wait for Goldberg to dig up some fantastic information on the new bidder. You never know he may have not paid for a parking ticket and he can be derailed too.

Nicko, how close are you to unearthing the gem that would be his/her/their name/names?

Mike,

What the hell are you on about?

I wonder as I swing from wondering if you are for real to are you making stuff up daily.

P.S. आपकी पत्नी कैसी है

Rebelmswar, don't worry, I'm for real - it's just some of the people I have to deal with who drive me FM; today has been sh1te and sometimes it triggers me into eccentricity. I'm going out for a couple of bevvies before I explode.

The new bidder gets all the praise for staying off the radar, Etc, now many are looking to Nicko to seek him out, then no doubt begging him to reveal his name.

After much teasing it's revealed in the People, then we all start our fit and proper test again.

Good point--I've never understood the antipathy towards Syed for giving one or two interviews and putting out the odd press release. Its not as if we weren't interested in what he had to say is it?

I am much relieved.

Could your wife perhaps help me out with a good recipe for naan bread that doesn't involve a clay oven. I have been trying for weeks and have a decent texture, and the tear-drop shape down but, I have not been able to get that tandoori taste into it. Is there any type of rub, or flavoring that can be administered to the dough before putting it in the oven?

If not I will have to dig a hole in my back garden and create a clay oven in it. Bloody hard work, so any help would be much obliged.

As someone who is pro-ish Syed I can say that the sheer level of interviews, not just one or two –pretty much wherever he could get some airtime, left a bad taste in some of the more business minded bunchs' mouths, with the strange exception of philipl, which may be due to inside information or pure speculation.

Businessmen, successful business men –those not out for a reality show, are like sharks when it comes to deals. They swim around smelling the waters and then silently strike from below in a savage and defensively hopeless attack.

Syed has been working more like my line of work, scream shout, make the opponent crap themselves and keep their heads down. Either way has its benefits bust sometimes the loud approach does get a bullet in the ass.

I think the main question is why hasn't the swing-o-meter been updated in light of the update, that's what were all waiting for.

I has done one....

I don't understand your post. The reasson Shah does not want to pay for DD is common sense. Why pay for DD if it is more likly that Syed would beat him to the purchase. What is does show is both honesty and financial prudence.

He'd obviously been given encouragement in his bid otherwise he would have cleared off long before. From our limited knowledge of Shah he's very unlikely to be able to fund us in the long term. I guess we'll find out if he ever takes us over.

He was simply trying to get the fans on his side 47er - and why shouldn't he? He is talking about putting a tremendous amount of cash into the club and in my opinion hasn't put a foot wrong yet.

New WGA Statement

Good afternoon,

Please find an update on the situation regarding Western Gulf Advisory's interest in Blackburn Rovers:

"Western Gulf Advisory ("WGA") announces that the period of exclusivity it was granted in order to conduct due diligence on Blackburn Rovers Football Club has been extended. This enables WGA to continue to explore the financial situation of the club while ensuring that no other bidder can buy it or look into its books. Although the due diligence process is taking longer than originally envisaged WGA remains committed to pursuing the opportunity to acquire such a prestigious club."

I am afraid I don’t have any more specific details on the process than the information contained in the above statement.

Kind regards,

Ian
