Hughesy Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Stoke just scored at the death to beat villa. Great comeback - they say if you dont take your chances you will get punished & that happened.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Brilliant result for Stoke. Not just because they scored a late winner but because Tony Pulis' mother died earlier today and he came back at half time with his team 1-0 down and they scored 2 goals in the second half to beat Villa. Can't believe he returned to the game considering what happened. Much respect goes to him.
Backroom Tom Posted September 13, 2010 Author Backroom Posted September 13, 2010 Yeah top bloke. Jones is a real centre forward and I was impressed with Reo Coker for villa shame we couldn't get him.
LeChuck Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 I wish we'd bought Etherington years ago when Duff left. Plenty of us on here wanted Souness to go for him, would have been cheap as chips too.

47er Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Anyone see the interview with Sparky after the Fulham game? Asked about Dembele he replied "I first saw him 3 or 4 years ago blah blah blah...I never thought I'd have the money to buy him". Terrible shame. If he'd been able to get the financial backing he deserved we would be flying now.

thenodrog Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Yeah because City were skint weren't they Sparky? Good point. Amateur psychology. No doubt said to bull him up a bit and instill a bit of confidence now that he will have to depend on him until spring. A confidant striker is twice the player that one full of self doubt is.
47er Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I think Sparky was saying his first sight of Dembele was when he was managing us. That's the meaning I took from the interview anyway.
Hughesy Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Yeah because City were skint weren't they Sparky? Exactly! If he is that Good then Sparky would have gone after him at City.. Either that or he is showing a flaw with his managerial ability and admitting he bought big names, over quality!?

speeeeeeedie Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I finally saw all the weekend's highlights last night. Arsenal's 4th was funny, but they'd better be ready for repercussions in the away fixture. It's all well and good taking the mick when you are 3-1 up at home against 10 men.
BuckyRover Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 The entire Utd team has been dropped bar Fletcher
Mattyblue Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 The entire Utd team has been dropped bar Fletcher Does Ferguson see the Scottish champions as a similar threat to a lower league team in the Carling Cup?
DanLad Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Does Ferguson see the Scottish champions as a similar threat to a lower league team in the Carling Cup? Quite clearly he does.
brian_gallagher85 Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 It's also becoming a lot clearer as the games go by that Fergies lot have gotten a lot closer to that standard as well. ...and as I type that they have been weakened still further by the loss of Valencia until the New Year it would seem.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 My prediction: Owen to get a vital winner
brian_gallagher85 Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 If he does I'm on the first plane to Southampton to punch you square in the face
Tim Southampton Rover Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 The way Man Utd are playing in the final 3rd, I don't think I've got much to worry about
thenodrog Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Quite clearly he does. In that case he must think Fletchers crap.
92er Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 The way Man Utd are playing in the final 3rd, I don't think I've got much to worry about It appears you got away with it.
