Backroom DE. Posted February 6, 2011 Backroom Share Posted February 6, 2011 as a neutral that was painful to watch....both of those teams have some serious deadwood issues horrible advert for the premier league Indeed it was, tragic to watch. Man Utd are going to win the league purely by virtue of not being as awful as their "challengers" (term used loosely as they don't really appear to have any). Swansea Vs Cardiff was a much better game earlier in the day.

Darwen End
I really hope Phil Thompson says something sexist soon the mans an idiot, according to him Liverpool made Torres a world name not Torres himself, the smugness and self importance of Liverpool fans is sickening, they expect Adam to move to them as they see themselves as a big team but think Torres is acting wrong by doing the same thing. Have a look at Torres' goalscoring record before he joined us
JAL
How good is Kenny Dalglish ! Trades one striker for two, then goes and beats the team who stumped up the most money for his ex striker ! Wish we had King Kenny rather than the apprentice Kean.
Backroom Tom Posted February 6, 2011 Author Backroom Share Posted February 6, 2011 Have a look at Torres' goalscoring record before he joined us What's that got to do with it? He started playing for Athletico when he was 17, strikers get better till a certain age more often than not, Liverpool didn't suddenly make him a good player. Scouse arrogance astounds me at times. A banner labelling Torres a judas less than a week after Carroll gets a good reception at Anfield sums it up.
philipl
Strong prevailing climate of suspicion around the incredible match in Saturday's Premier League match between Newcastle and Arsenal, according to France 2. Interpol had opened an investigation and the Czech player Arsenal Tomas Rosicky would be the viewfinder. The crazy game between Newcastle and Arsenal on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League (4-4) has not finished talking. Today, it would even turn Interpol, according to France 2, a close interest in this meeting which saw the Magpies to join the Gunners, who led 4-0 after 26 minutes though gambling Strong prevailing climate of suspicion around the game, which would have been on the sidelines of sports content with strange movements of money. Tomas Rosicky, the Czech midfielder for Arsenal came late in the game and led to two goals for Newcastle, would include in the viewfinder of Interpol. From www.footanglais.com in France. John
Sparky seems to be doing ok at Fulham now, after a bit of a rocky spell. Interesting he still emphasises the line about his teams getting stronger in the 2nd half of the season (based on the work done on the training ground). Was made aware of this earlier... would be stunned if it was true, but Rosicky had an awful time on the pitch and was at fault for most of the goals (including the wrongly disallowed one, Rosicky was the one playing Best onside). Wonder if they'll investigate? Doubt they'd be able to prove anything. Not enough to do anything worthwhile, anyway.
Dunnfc
Strange because Rosicky apparently failed a drugs test 15 months ago... testing positive for cocaine APPARENTLY! Which would expalin his 15 month injury lay off :/
philipl
If there were some odd betting movements- like seriously big bets going on 4-4 or the order of scoring, that will be enough to trigger investigations. I remember reading that it only takes two players from each side to have an "agenda" for a game and the probability of them achieving the target result is pretty high. Instead of basking in the glory of a wonderful come back against Arsenal, they might be compromised by the suggestion it was a scam.
Miker
Sparky seems to be doing ok at Fulham now, after a bit of a rocky spell. Interesting he still emphasises the line about his teams getting stronger in the 2nd half of the season (based on the work done on the training ground). I had absolutely no doubts Hughes would get back on track with Fulham. He's a quality manager that knows how to get results at the end of the day. LeChuck
I think its utter rubbish. Me too. It's a shame people have to so cynical about a fantastic game, I'm surprised so many on here are discussing it. If Tiote doesn't smash a volley from 20 yards then Newcastle lose 4-3. Whatever angle you look at it from, it makes no sense whatsoever. It's actually quite a damning verdict of society that people are buying it. He's a quality manager that knows how to get results at the end of the day. If given time, it will be interesting how he gets on there. Personally, I rate Hughes very highly as manager - has an excellent coaching team (plus support staff) too.
