92er
Team that was below us in the table 90 minutes ago is now above us in the table. I think the Tottenham goal might have helped us. Bad defeat for them that could let Chelsea into 4th. Brett Ormerod scored-is that the first time he has scored in the Premier League? In which case, I think he has just scored in every division for them.

JAL
If you look at form over the last twelve games it paints a different picture though, again looking over the last 6 then there is one stand out candidate for dropping into the bottom three, that being Blackpool, but as I said the last twelve games look like this points per games. WHU 16 1.33 Wolves 16 1.33 Fulham 16 1.333 Stoke 14 1.166 Birmingham 14 1.166 Everton 13 1.083 Bolton 13 1.083 Wigan 13 1.083 Rovers 11 .916 Blackpool 11 0.916 WBA 9 0.75 Two of the three bottom clubs at the moment could reach 39 points and Wigan 38.9 and Rovers finishing on 42 Excellent stuff again splitscreen, after tonight does this not that make Rovers or Venky plonkers the second worst form team in the premiership going into the final third of the season. Very very concerning!

How the hell does that equate to .916 points per game?
Miker
Kean has eleven points from ten league games doesn't he? How the hell does that equate to .916 points per game? Was confused by that too... it seems he's showing the points accrued by every team in the last 12 games, except that we've only played 10 matches under Kean and we actually have 14 points from the last 12 anyway. I think it would make more sense to look at the last 10 games of each team to compare.
Miker
A more accurate table of teams and points accrued over 10 games. I have only included teams outside the current top 6, as I think these are the only teams that we can realistically be challenging at the moment. I have also added cup wins/draws in brackets over this 10 game period as a bonus to indicate the extra effort teams have had to put in to obtain wins/draws in other competitions. You can turn them into points and count them towards the total if you wish: Fulham 15 (also 2 cup wins) -> 1.5pts/match Everton 13 (also 1 cup match win and 2 draws) -> 1.3pts/match Newcastle 13 -> 1.3pts/match Sunderland 13 -> 1.3pts/match Birmingham 12 (also 4 cup match wins) -> 1.2pts/match Stoke 12 (also 3 cup match wins and 1 draw) -> 1.2pts/match West Ham 12 (also 3 cup match wins) -> 1.2pts/match Blackburn 11 (also 1 cup match win) -> 1.1pts/match Aston Villa 10 (also 2 cup match wins) -> 1.0pts/match Wigan 10 (also 1 cup match win and 1 draw) -> 1.0pts/match Wolves 10 (also 1 cup match win) -> 1.0pts/match Bolton 9 (also 3 cup match wins and 1 draw) -> 0.9pts/match Blackpool 7 -> 0.7pts/match WBA 6 -> 0.6pts/match From that we can see that Kean's managerial performance so far has been distinctly average, however, we are in the bottom half of the form table after the last 10 games. Good analysis. Based on performance to date, Kean won't relegate us but he'll underperform compared to Sam. It is next season that truly concerns me. CrazyIvan
Spuds goal stopped them going above us on GD. Nope, even with them being 3-0 up they would still have been below us.

cn174
2-0 now. I'm really hoping Liverpool can claw this back. West Ham are looking pretty decent - Ba looks like he's going to be a good signing for them.

ben_the_beast
This weekend feels like we have lost a rock bottom Nottingham Forest. It truly has been one of the most depressing weekends of football I can remember in years. I feel demoralized. Never have I witnessed such a catastrophically fast demolition of a football club. Bobby G
Fulham getting stronger by the game and City fading. 3rd and 4th spot up for grabs with Spurs potentially in a great position to claim one of those two spots right now.
Wing Wizard Windy Miller
So far we've seen Wolves start to get results and they have a cracking run in. West Ham burst the Liverpool bubble and now Birmingham have 'done a Blackburn' in the Carling cup. All seem to be teams on the up. That's three teams that will be above us within a fortnight. I am hoping I am still raw from the defeat and things might not appear as bad in a few days time. However feel generally down about most things in relation to BRFC these days. However feel generally down about most things in relation to BRFC these days. I am genuinely very stressed. Very very stressed. It's been a long time since football has done this to me. I would put this down to me usually being a level headed person. But right now I am more than worried. Oblivion feels like a highly real possibility. ross-shire rover
It's looking increasingly likely that our season ( correction - future as a viable football club ) is hanging on 3 wins at home to Blackpool, Birmingham and Bolton. I can't see us getting anything else at the moment. 40 points is usually the target but this season, with the way results are going, will 41 points be enough ?
