LeChuck Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 On 'Goals on Sunday' Steve Kean said that he thinks it will take more than 40 points to stay up this season... Really? I thought Steve Kean was meant to be a thinker? Absolutely no evidence exists to suggest this is the case. As things stand 39 points will be enough to survive.

Bobby G Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 LeChuck, its even more worrying the way we are playing if Kean is setting the bar higher!
philipl Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Interesting comments on the effect of the green and yellow campaign.y
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Rooney gets away with his elbow on James McCarthy. If that had been a Rovers player they would have got a ban.
alexanders Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Anyone got the predictor? I feel like torturing myself.
sparkspakespoke Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Anyone got the predictor? I feel like torturing myself. Its on the BBC sport site, just run it. Gave up when we dropped into trhe bottom 3 on 16th April on goal dif, couldnt bring myself to finish.
Exiled_Rover Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I am genuinely very stressed. Very very stressed. It's been a long time since football has done this to me. I would put this down to me usually being a level headed person. But right now I am more than worried. Oblivion feels like a highly real possibility. So you weren't worried two seasons ago?
mickbrown Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Looks like being a very exciting last few months of the season !
sambo Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 So you weren't worried two seasons ago? He probably was, but our manager seems to be looking clueless at the wrong time. Big Sam inspires more faith than Kean in these relegation battles, and whilst before we were on the up after Ince, we appear to be free falling at the moment. Add the clueless Venkys to the mix and it gets all the more worrying.
AlanK Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Rooney gets away with his elbow on James McCarthy. If that had been a Rovers player they would have got a ban. I am slipping further away from football each week. With our lads doing so well in the rugby and the way they conduct themselves with the ref etc and F1 about to start, football is a rapidly fading star for me. Bearing in mind my 1st visit to Ewood was 31 years ago I find it unbelievable to hear myself saying that. When you can run at a player and smash him in the face right in front of the ref ans get away with it....well I give up.
jim mk2 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 West Brom searching for only their 2nd victory over Stoke in 26 attempts tonight. We really need that poor record to continue.
Inta Beaver Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 What's people views on the Stoke v WBA game? Only a Stoke win is good for us in my eyes, a couple of weeks back we would if wanted a draw to keep Stoke beneath us, now we are looking at keeping WBA beneath us. 3-1 Stoke Carew to score first.
John Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Hopefully not a WBA win, would crank up the pressure a notch more.
Amo Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Rooney gets away with his elbow on James McCarthy. If that had been a Rovers player they would have got a ban. If it was just about ANY other player they would have got a ban. And I hear Ashley Cole is less than remorseful about shooting someone with an air rifle. No wonder I've lost almost all interest in this game.

Lovely Coleen at home with the baby, he's banging grannies and prossies. Lines up for his country, doesn't sing the national anthem, just juts his chin up in silence, knob. Then yesterday he takes a good look at the Wigan player, runs up and takes him out with his forearm. Ref didn't see it, Fergie said it was a coming together. What a load of bollix

What a load of bollix Agree with everything here. It is a joke he didn't get punished, it was a blatant elbow to the face. One rule for those lot, another for the rest.

92er Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 WBA have now equalised. According to Radio 5, Steven Reid has put in quite a number of quality passes from the right wing.
cn174 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Thankfully Begovic kept Stoke in the game with a couple of class saves right at the end!
Kamy100 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Stoke and West Brom draw. Vela should have won the game for WBA at the end of the game. Not a bad result for Rovers as it means Stoke are still within touching distance.
jim mk2 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Not a bad result for Rovers as it means Stoke are still within touching distance. I'm counting on West Brom going down so them gaining a point is not good news for us. Stoke will finish many places above us.
Ricky Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Not a bad result and despite all the doom and gloom (from me included) we are only 2 points off 10th.
Mercer Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Saw last 20 minutes and WBA looked good. Well organised, kept their shape and heads. Think they have an experienced manager with a bit of nous !
LeChuck Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 If it was just about ANY other player they would have got a ban. Not true. It's all because of the stupid rule that the referee saw it at the time. This has always been the rule.
