Gerrards a scumbag but a media darling so of course he wont be lambasted, can't stand Carragher either dirty wannabe gangster.

As much as I don't like the Liverpool players I'm glad they beat United just gutted Arsenal couldn't win yesterday as they could still win this league fingers crossed.

They wont though, they don't have the bottle still.

Just watching MOTD2 and seriously something needs doing about the refereeing in this league, how is van Der Saar less agressive in his running than Givet was?

Also how has Carragher not been sent off, astonishing. No surprise the BBC commentator glossed over the tackle pretty much.

I agree and said exactly the same thing to my wife last night. Carragher should have gone and so should Fabio (I think it was that twin) although the shin scrape challenge by the Liverpool player seconds before can't have helped. Van Der Saar ran off after the ref for some reason I couldn't fathom. Bad tempered game and no red cards. No consistancy either.

He soon jumped up to run round to the ref and start crying though didn't he ? Yes it was a bad tackle but he's s cheating drama queen so I couldn't care less !

Complete lack of sympathy from me would accompany a similar injury to the likes of Ashley Young, Drogba, Gerrard etc.

drogba looking more and more like a child that has to share his toys with torres!torres keeping quite!

intresting to watch body language!

andy reid playing well! blackpool came back into the game in last 15 after chelsea dominating 1st half hour.

they look like they could nick a goal!maybe even two.

hopefully drogba will grow up, leave his ego in the dressing room and bang some goals in!

I have to say that Blackpool are refreshing - they are energetic, confident, ping the ball around readily, run at defenders, put pressure on the keeper - football can be a simple game after all. I hope they leave it on the pitch tonight & find the tank empty on the 19th !

Steve McClaren is still sounding like an englishman abroad trying to communicate by missing a word out here and there.

Odd to listen to although nowhere near as good as his Dutch accent.

Blackpool are just enjoying the ride. If they get relegated, it does make much difference to them. They haven't spent big money or given players huge contracts - I expect they'll be on bonused to stay up. Their business model is probably like Burnley's last year (post Coyle) - take the money and run, and regroup the following season.

The club, players and fans are under no pressure. You can feel the pressure with Rovers - particularly at home matches. It's why Andrews gets so much stick. Our business model appears to be - stay up at all costs or say goodbye to the club! :(

Perfect result for us last night between everton and Birmingham. Draw keeps brum below us and Everton only just above us.

Can't agree with that. Everton are 5 points ahead of us in ninth place, there is zero chance of us overtaking them.

An Everton win would have been far better. Birmingham have caught us up by a point. Not good news.
