Boltons main rivals are Bury, but because even they don't take them seriously these days, they try to create rivalries with other local clubs and fail.

Simply nobody cares about bolton.....apart from the Adlington blues that is :D

Naughty:D

Judging by the results, it has all got even closer at the bottom. Villa or Brum could take the bullet for us after today. Looks like Jeff Stelling will be doing some sort of spoken word interpretation of the Fukushima power station on the final day of the season.

Just watched some of the Man Utd v Bolton match, Fergie has a 5 game touchline ban so he had to sit in the stands, but what is so comical is that he has a phone line down to bench to give instructions, so what is the point of a touchline ban when you can still comunicate with the coaches to give instructions to the team.

I found that quite funny as well... but think the touchline ban was harsh. Let's face it, he's not wrong, refereeing standards in the premier league are awful. If the FA don't want managers reacting angrily to match decisions maybe they shouldn't force managers into interviews directly after a game?

I believe you're not allowed to communicate with your bench in any way during a touchline ban, but how are you going to prove something like that?

Well Ferguson had a big white phone that he talked into, and someone on the bench also had a big white phone that they were talking into at the same time. Now might be a coincidence....

If they'd have been more subtle they might've got away with it!

It's no punishment really. Allardyce gave himself a touchline ban first 45 mins of every game.

An elegant version of Lucio. No nonesense defending with flair on the ball, and a drive to take the game to the opposition. Top it off with an eye for goal.

His style means he is prone to a mistake once in a while but will be tested against the really top players, especially in the CL.
