Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2011 Author Backroom Posted April 2, 2011 He looked lazy and unintersted in the first half as well Penalty 3-2 Rooney Edit: What an idiot
rebelmswar Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 He looked lazy and unintersted in the first half as well That's why I keep my Pimp hand strong. Penalty to Manure!!
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I have Rooney in fantasy football too. Happy days.
sambo Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 That dodgy pen is payback for 2007 with Tevezgate and 'that' win at Ewood
Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2011 Author Backroom Posted April 2, 2011 I can't work out his reaction to the goal, is it a surprise to him that television cameras are there?
roverwhelmed Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 That's it. Cheering for the scum is now over, and never to be repeated. Job done!
rebelmswar Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I can't work out his reaction to the goal, is it a surprise to him that television cameras are there? I couldn't work out the Thugies. What did he say? He does look like something that loaped out of a cave.
Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2011 Author Backroom Posted April 2, 2011 What did he say? Something like 'FRICK DO YOU WANT?' 'FRICKING WHAT?' Right now I need to go and scrub myself for a few hours
tony gale's mic Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Am I the only one on here who doesn't really care about hating United? Back in the 90s, yes for sure. But in the days of City spending obscene amounts of money just as some rich man's plaything, at least Man U are a proper football club. Plus I think harbouring hate towards a team whose fans couldn't care less about you is pretty small-time.

They HAVE spent obscene amounts of money.
tony gale's mic Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 They are a billion in debt given a quid or two either way. They HAVE spent obscene amounts of money. Most football clubs have a certain amount of debt but the actions of the Glazers have led to their debt being so high. Nothing I can really hate the club for. They do spend a lot of money but it's not money which the owners pump into the club like with City. It's money which is generated by their success as a football club. Big difference.
joey_big_nose Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Can't believe anyone wouldn't hate Man Utd! How are they a 'proper football club'? Leveraged buy out, legions of plastic fans, massive salaries which match Chelsea and City , lots of biased refereeing in their favour, arrogance from heir support etc... They play some brilliant football, what Ferguson has achieved is impressive, and I am particularly impressed with how the have brought through good young players despite having so much cash to buy them ready made. However there is still so much there to hate!
philipl Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Phew- could it be that the fellow travellers in distress not winning might be the only thing that keeps us up?

However there is still so much there to hate! Bang on! Man United stopped being a 'football club' years ago, probably around the time they took 'Football Club' off their badge.
Grabbi Graeme Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Everton are down to the bare bones of their squad, all of the players on their subs bench today have never played a Prem League game

They play some brilliant football, what Ferguson has achieved is impressive, and I am particularly impressed with how the have brought through good young players despite having so much cash to buy them ready made. However there is still so much there to hate! Leveraged buy out is something which ultimately harms them as a football club. No reason to hate them for it. Legions of plastic fans - that's what comes with success. How many plastic fans do the New York Yankees have? How about Barcelona? I daresay even a few fans on here got into us because of the title win. But some of them are actually really passionate about United in the same way that some of our overseas fans are passionate about Rovers. Massive salaries - again their money is largely generated from their success as a football club which is entirely different to some rich man coming in and financially doping a club. Biased refereeing - we'd take anything that came our way too. Arrogant fans - there with any successful club. There is plenty to dislike about United, but there's other clubs far more worthy of our contempt.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I still think West Ham will finish above us. Got a feeling for Wigan and Brum today both are facing weakened opponents at home. Spurs and Bolton both have bigger fish to fry. I wish we could have played Spurs 3 days before their biggest game in most fans memory.
moerpho Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Not the PL but Burnley down 0-1 against Ipswich...at least something to be happy about!
