Hasta Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 If we drew at West Ham that would leave us 6 points clear of them with 2 games remaining. At the moment we have +8 better goal difference. If they won both of theirs and we lost both of ours we would be level on points and that goal difference would become very close. Therefore it would be beneficial if City could 'damage' that goal difference a bit more later today. I'd still be happy with any City win tho !!

47er Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Yeah, I reckon a draw is the best result given Brum are down to 10 men. Arguably the worst game I've ever seen and I include one of the lino's! How either of these clueless teams could survive is beyond me. A lot of nasty tackles and everyone in the ref's face at every opportunity. A draw moves Big Club above us by the way.
mattyc2422 Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Agreed. It's been an absolutely snore-fest in terms of quality. I know we don't want to think about last day disasters, but we should seriously beat this Wolves team.
Kamy100 Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 The draw keeps Brum deep in trouble and they have two tough away games at Newcastle and Tottenham and what will now be a critical home game against Fulham. Wolves will be 4 behind us and with our superior goal difference (as long as we maintain it) they will need to pick up 5 points from 9 to get past us.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 That draw between the two midlands clubs was a great result for us considering Brum were down to 10 men for the majority of the game. It just goes to show what a HUGE win it was yesterday for us. Fingers crossed Manchester City can bury West Ham. Come on Citeh!
RIML Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Liverpool up to 5th! Massive game for Spurs next week at home to Blackpool.
Backroom Tom Posted May 1, 2011 Author Backroom Posted May 1, 2011 United won't have it wrapped up by the time we play them. I think it's quite possible they win the league at ewood

I think it's quite possible they win the league at ewood Yup, can't see us getting anything against United who will be at full strength and will need either a win or draw from Rovers game depending on what they do against Chelsea.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 We always screw things up for United at Ewood when they are close to the title.
Backroom Tom Posted May 1, 2011 Author Backroom Posted May 1, 2011 If they beat Chelsea then a point at ewood would be enough, come on Venkys time to send sir Alex a nice gift!
Stuart Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 That's right Tom. If United need it, we'll let them have a point. It's the gracious thing to do.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 GOAL for Man City. Just what we wanted. Nigel De Jong sceamer!
Backroom Tom Posted May 1, 2011 Author Backroom Posted May 1, 2011 I've always liked that De Jong chap
Tim Southampton Rover Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 2-0 our old boy scores an own goal. He's still a blue and white at heart
Tim Southampton Rover Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 We want 3.....We want 3.....We want 3.....
adopted scouser Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Yessssss That goal has JUST gone in for me (watching Sky legally through my computer, the dish at the flats is currently buggered) 5 minute delay ??!!
Stuart Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Good lad Lars. Do we have a buy-back clause? You might want to avoid this thread then, AS!!
adopted scouser Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 So they're going to score the second in a couple of minutes ?!
