If he signs for city he can wear his 'once a blue always a blue' t-shirt again.

it was only 2004 when he said he wanted to stay at united for the rest of his career, his word is obviously worth very little.

Ye I think his missus could have told you as much a while ago...

1st Liverpool, now Man United in a bit of chaos. Love it.

I'm sure the entire nation is loving it too.

btw ... I wonder if David Moyes has rung up to commiserate with the old RFW!

Its quite amusing hearing ManU fans realize the days of their stars being one club men for their whole careers are over with this generation of footballers.

Ronaldo, Tevez and now Rooney leaving. Even better if the Glazers just put the transfer fee in their back pockets.

We know only too well from painful experience that when the stars and their agents desert a ship it is sinking. It's a chain reaction too, apart from the old heads there will be more rats off too imo. I think Anderson will be away by Christmas.

I've said for some time that transfer fees are history and that the players will be off to Monaco and such with all English footballs family silver. I'm just amazed that it's taken so long for the Bosman effect to kick in. Unfortunately too being a trading / selling club it's a massive nail in our future coffin.

If BRFC flounders and folds at least we'll be able to go and listen to the choir though.<_<

Whilst I perhaps should not take pleasure in the misfortunes of another football clubs fans in this case I will make an exception. Whilst not wishing to sound like Vinjay in any shape or form I despise the red scum nearly as much as scumley. I suppose it goes back to childhood days in the early seventies when all the kids were man u fans due to the size and escapades of the red army on their trail of destruction across our fair island. All we need now is for the banks to call in the glaziers debts and shut them down. Oh happy days, the rot has set in. :rover:

Me too - add in a new buyer for Rovers with some serious cash and it will get a whole lot better.

Love red cafe quotes.... :lol::lol:

It all starts with this guy...

"Wow. How fickle can United fans be. They believe the stories coming out of a bunch of rags rather then their own personal belief in players. You'd think after the Vidic debacle many would f****g learn. Its a non story designed to increase circulation for f***s sake. Not one article even comes close to mentioning a real quote"

article-0-023DC08B000005DC-823_468x635.jpg

"I actually feel like crying, I can't even lie, this hurts to the bone "

This guy thinks £5m will buy them better..."Exactly. He's scum.

Plus there's better stikers out there to be bought for less money than we'll sell Rooney for"

Go on Wayne, you know you want to do it...

"Rooney has fooled us all. The only way he could top this is to join City. Would that be the biggest act of treachery in football?"

At last opinion in football is swinging to recognizing that theGlazers are busting Man U.

Great for Man U haters but the cost to the PL brand of Man U and Liverpool both dropping out of contention because of American debt is enormous.

Ok there will always be mega clubs visiting Ewood but if we are to be beaten then we ought to have the pleasure of seeing the best players in the world playing in the best league in the world.

That prospect looks absurd now the delayed financial crisis rolls through the Premier League one club at a time.

It's never been about watching the best players though, has it? they've always played in Italy or Spain. It's about a few better players playing in the most exciting and relatively even league in the world. It's been getting worse over the last few years as the richer clubs have monopoised not only the league but the cups too, but it's still a league where on their day anyone can actually beat anyone else and, unless you follow Rovers, it's still usually exciting.

I have enjoyed the decline of LFC with unbridled glee, I've not really given Man Yoo much thought, Glazers or not, they couldn't fail with their vast revenues... Could they?

On your point phil, so the glory clubs should stay that way to the end of time? We should be honoured to see the elite players of the elite clubs take us apart year after year. Celebrate that odd plucky point we snatch?

A man of your vintage should recall a time football at least resembled a competition.

Welcome to the real world Utd.

Had a manure fan complaining to me yesterday that it wasn't fair that it seemed like only chelsea or man city could win the premiership now because they were the only ones who have the funds to do so.

Have to say it dumbfounded me for a moment or two that they could not see the irony of what they had said. Then I just started to laugh.

Am loving manure and liverpoo's fall from grace. Think mattyblue has got it bang on. Welcome to the other side guys.

Straight on, I always laugh in their faces when manure or liverpool fans complains about having no funds to buy players. Didn't they just spent £7m on Bebe and £10+m for Meireles?

What a joke.

The best technical players always have played in those two leagues. However I'd rather watch paint dry than watch that style of football.
