Backroom Tom Posted October 23, 2010 Author Backroom Posted October 23, 2010 My bad, thought Liverpool were on 8 pts, still my point half stands
67splitscreen Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 No it won't, unless we lose 3-0. Thought it was more. L/Pool -6 Rovers -1
Hughesy Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Thought it was more. L/Pool -6 Rovers -1 + 3 for liverpool -3 for rovers will make it -3 to -4.....
Backroom Tom Posted October 23, 2010 Author Backroom Posted October 23, 2010 How is Liverpool's goal difference so low compared to ours have they taken a tonking I forgot about? Anyway it wont happen we're gonna win
67splitscreen Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 + 3 for liverpool -3 for rovers will make it -3 to -4..... Hamlet moment, your both correct their.
RIML Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Where do I start on that last sentence. No question mark
Backroom Tom Posted October 23, 2010 Author Backroom Posted October 23, 2010 Seriously were Chelsea fans booing because they were one nil up and under a bit of pressure from Wolves? Edit - no sorry they were booing Hunt
Mc Love Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Mr Nixon's article about Rooney!! I am in shock http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/news/2010/10/24/the-glazers-pledge-to-buy-wayne-rooney-an-entire-new-team-at-man-utd-102039-22654571/
67splitscreen Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Where do I start on that last sentence. We defo need a sarcasm emoticon.
Backroom DE. Posted October 23, 2010 Backroom Posted October 23, 2010 Mr Nixon's article about Rooney!! I am in shock http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/news/2010/10/24/the-glazers-pledge-to-buy-wayne-rooney-an-entire-new-team-at-man-utd-102039-22654571/ No offence to Nicko but that's one of the strangest articles I've ever read. The Glazers are going to buy 11 new world-class players in a year and the entire Rooney situation was one big misunderstanding cos Wayne got a bit angry and his words were taken out of context going to have to remain skeptical about those claims I'm afraid.
Doaksie Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 11 new world class players and Rooney will be lucky to get a game, unless he regains some semblance of last season's form.
67splitscreen Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Saurez in Berbatov Hernandez, bye bye Rooney, ££££££ saved.
JohnD Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Come on guys don't say you believe anything you read in the papers ffs!? Oh yes, I forgot it's BRFCS isn't it?
brian_gallagher85 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Mr Nixon's article about Rooney!! I am in shock http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/news/2010/10/24/the-glazers-pledge-to-buy-wayne-rooney-an-entire-new-team-at-man-utd-102039-22654571/ ...and if you believe that you'll believe anything. I konw what part of the deal convinced him to sign a new deal and I wasn't the part about signing new players! That's not a dig at the writer btw and I'm sure Alan himself would question a few of the claims made by United.
Bobby G Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Two things. It was either about money and United caved in. Or its a ploy to raise his asking price for a sale next summer and he has agreed to it.
gumboots Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Two things. It was either about money and United caved in. Or its a ploy to raise his asking price for a sale next summer and he has agreed to it. I suspect the second, but anyway it's a whole different thing saying you'll target a team of top new players and actually getting them. The Glazers have made a lot of promises that haven't been kept anyway so why would anyone believe this last lot. Rooney will probably go, but for a price nearer what they think he should rather than the relatively small amount they'd have got if he didn't sign, but this way Rooney (I never really wanted to leave - it's all a horiible misunderstanding) and the club (we never wanted Wayne to leave - it's all a horrible misunderstanding) both save face.
philipl Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 The fact that Rooney could have bought out his contract next summer meant the only question was "how much Mr Rooney?"
Amo Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Di Santo looked lively on MOTD and a nice touch for Rodallega's goal. Just sayin'.
Majiball Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Di Santo looked lively on MOTD and a nice touch for Rodallega's goal. Just sayin'. Some of us never changed our opinion on the young lad. Its a very difficult job being the striker in our system, too much for a first season kid.
Stuart Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Mr Nixon's article about Rooney!! I am in shock http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/news/2010/10/24/the-glazers-pledge-to-buy-wayne-rooney-an-entire-new-team-at-man-utd-102039-22654571/ Reading that makes me think even more that this was a scheme cooked up by Fergie to put some pressure on the Glazers to make some money available. But the question is how can they afford it? More loans? Having said that it does seem a rather OTT article. Has your story been 'sexed up' Nicko?
92er Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Mr Nixon's article about Rooney!! I am in shock http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/news/2010/10/24/the-glazers-pledge-to-buy-wayne-rooney-an-entire-new-team-at-man-utd-102039-22654571/ I'm not sure all the players mentioned are top notch-but I am happy to be corrected. Philip-if these players are going to cost a lot of money, how is the club going to fund the purchases?
Majiball Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Two things. It was either about money and United caved in. Or its a ploy to raise his asking price for a sale next summer and he has agreed to it. I've been pondering this. Fergie is a very clever lad and I struggle to believe that deep down he believes what he has at his disposal is good enough to compete and gain him the title record he craves. So I've been wondering if given that he's been forced to sign younger players whether perhaps he and shrek may have been a little more together on this than it first appears. What if the whole escapade was just a ruse by them both to get the yanks to open the cheque book and give Alex the funds he feels he needs to get that final title. Fergie is no spring chicken, he must know that going down the road of youth will not come to fruition in his tenure as he cannot go on forever. Just look at the gunners who so desperately need those 2-3 top drawer players. I do wonder if he's played a blinder in getting them to sign a sneijder or two??
