Shocking tackle for WBA's second red card.

Yep, he didn't need to make it either, the guy was going nowhere. They gave it a good go with 9 men though and Steven Reid could have equalised right at the end!

That's a big ask. It's taken Rovers the best part of two years to get near a takeover.

At least Mr Whelan has done the decent thing by the club, backed the manager and tried to safeguard the club's Premiership status. He hasn't pulled the plug and left Wigan teetering on the brink of Top Flight survival.

Oh no! No more "down to the bare bones" cheery cockney banter from saggy chops?

That's spoilt my day.

He'll never be able to keep it up! 'Arry keeping quiet? Never.

He took about 10 minutes to say he wasn't going to talk any more! I personally leave the room or switch channels when he comes on radio or tv, so if he does refuse to talk to the media it would be great.

If Spurs hadn't taken Bentley from us, it could have been Rovers playing vs Inter Milan tonight. Instead we're in the relegation zone. If that doesn't make you sick, I don't know what will. Thanks, David.

That's a fairly ridiculous post.

The difference between success and failure often hinges on a couple of elements. Bentley leaving pretty much destroyed our entire gameplan and had us start out again from scratch.

It should serve as a lesson what happens when you buy mercenaries and not committed players who are in for the long run.

So Ince would have got us in the Champions League if Bentley had stayed?

Talking out your arse.

Who is to say for certain that Hughes would have left if Bentley didn't demand to leave? Or Friedel? Or Santa Cruz? We had a great team with a seemingly great manager, that looked on the way up. Bentley was the most important part of that. He left (for a rival club's bench as it turns out) and all the pieces fell apart.

Be careful making comments about 'Mr E'

Many a moderating finger hovering over many a 'delete' button

All three left after Hughes.

As much as I hate Arry. I got to admit Spurs play some fantastic attacking football at times.

...his teams always do.
