It should serve as a lesson what happens when you buy mercenaries and not committed players who are in for the long run.

Quite right. Rovers need more players of the calibre of Pedersen, Emerton and Nelsen, loyal servants who are happy to play for the club and who never cause a moment's trouble on or off the pitch. If we had 11 players like them we would not be in our current position near the foot of the table.

You're trolling about Pedersen again Jim. Surely?

You disagree with my opinion and dismiss it as trolling ? Think about it - 11 good but not outstanding players but more importantly solid loyal characters who will give their al for the club, or a team of talented fly-by-nights such as Bellamy and Bentley who disappear as soon as their agent can fix up the next deal. Those three players I have mentioned certainly come into the first category and I wish we had more. The club would certainly be in a better position now.

Bale is gonna literally rape us next weekend.

The prospect is a little more than frightening given the form the lad's in at the minute.

Maybe Bert at right back? At least he might be able to keep up with him, even he can't tackle him!

Werent there quite a few on here who didn't think bale was good enough for us when he was struggling to get a game at spurs.

To be fair whilst always a good prospect not many would expect he would be this good. His growth has been extrordinary.

Interesting prospect: Salgado v Bale.

The Spaniard's best bet is to hit Bale hard early and put him out for the season.

The suvvern press will love that.

He made a monkey of Salgado last season, at least for the first half till we double-tagged him.

Good point, don't remember if it was quite at the same time, but I wonder how folk at the time would have reckoned how Bale would have compared to Kightly in late 2010.
