Must be over £30 million now.Has to be the best left sided player in the world as the moment. No one does that to the Inter defence, truely breathe taking.

Spurs fans are talking double that figure... I agree that last night's performance was stunning, BUT he has yet to have one full good season in the PL. Also, Maicon was left more or less alone against him.

People are getting a bit carried away over the Bale thing. He's on a good bit of form, but 5-10 games do not a superstar make. He's a very good player, there is no doubt about that, but I still think his game is too one dimensional for him to ever make it to the world class level. He suits Spurs down to the ground though and other teams would be silly to try and buy him.

Quite right. Rovers need more players of the calibre of Pedersen, Emerton and Nelsen, loyal servants who are happy to play for the club and who never cause a moment's trouble on or off the pitch. If we had 11 players like them we would not be in our current position near the foot of the table.

Hum. Bit of a bizarre thing to say. The only reason that Ped, Emerton, Nelsen are comitted is becasue no one suficiently succesful and rich enough has come in for them due to their mediocrity. If Spurs came calling I am sure they would be interested in going.

They are good pros, do their work etc but I don't for a minute think they would turn down the opportunity to play in the CL or compete in the top five or six of the prem. Bentley and Bellamy got picked up because they were outstanding talents.

Werent there quite a few on here who didn't think bale was good enough for us when he was struggling to get a game at spurs.

I said he could be a good player if they moved him forward. Common sense, rly.

I just hope City sign him....it will upset their left sided midfielders & their new left back!

I'd rather watch Bale playing well for Spurs than see him at Man. City on £2bn a week, crapping his career away.

There are just some players you want to see.

You dont half talk some rubbish, this is right up there with you claiming Nasri would go down as Wengers worst signing. Maybe you should give up the (very)ametur scouting.

Bale is not one dimensional, this is the first time he has had period of sustained fitness and a run in the team and he has has been execptional. Hehas single handedly setroyed one of the best right backs in the world twice and is interesting the worlds best teams.

He will play for a much bigger team than Spurs. Who ever signs him will be getting one of the most exciting emerging talents.

Bale has had a blinding few months, but that does not mean he'll be the next Ryan Giggs. He might be like Beattie, and have an amazing period in an otherwise average season. However, in his current form, perhaps putting a double act of Emerton and Salgado down the right hand side would work.

And I think Woy would be OK with a director of football given his experience in Italy etc.

Bale should stay at Spurs, they have a very good balance throughout the squad right now and they can reach the top if they keep going the way they're going and if they keep their team together.

Much as it pains me to say it - I deeply dislike Spurs - they are finally putting together some excellent players and actually getting results. Over the last six or so years Spurs have not been too far off the 'big four' in terms of quality on paper but never really threatened to gel as a team.

Now they are doing that and if you look at the depth of the squad it is even stronger than previously, plus some outstanding individuals like Van Der Vaart and Bale. Stick a Drogba or a Torres up front, get King and Woodgate fit, and they would be Premiership contenders.

Have to give Redknapp a lot of respect for what he has achieved with what has been a dysfunctional club until last season.

He's already way better than Giggs ever was.

To be fair whilst always a good prospect not many would expect he would be this good. His growth has been extrordinary.

Square peg in a round hole at fullback. The opposite of Graeme Le Saux who played as an unremarkable left wing for Chelsea. Kenny and Ray saw him in a different light, stuck him at full back and he went on to earn many caps for England and make us an 8 fold profit on our expenditure.

Bale's hot at the moment but he can be handled. We are ready for him whilst Inter weren't. I'm more concerned about Van der Vaart.

Lets not get carried away T4E. He's proved nowt yet. Giggs has been an integral part of the MU squad for 16 years. Bale's career doesn't stand comparison yet and won't do for some time to come. Giggs trophy cabinet will be like Harrods front windows whilst Bale's trophies will be in a shoe box. :)
