beerwins Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Man. City eye £50m Barca swoop £50m + £220k p/week....for a right-back, no less. You know I dont think they will ever win the prem, they are selling the players they bought last year and cant control the players they have. The only way they will win the league is if they get mourinho, he would be better money spent than any player, they need someone high profile, someone who is above being sacked to make the players believe that they cant behave like drama queens and play like team players, until they get a high profile manager they should'nt bother signing anymore players.
Majiball Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Well onto today's matches, draws all round for me, please. West Brom v Newcastle, 13:30 Sunderland v West Ham, 16:00
67splitscreen Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 2-1 to the baggies 2-1 and no bubbles in the air.
Grabbi Graeme Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Well onto today's matches, draws all round for me, please. West Brom v Newcastle, 13:30 Sunderland v West Ham, 16:00 Results not going our way with West Brom and Sunderland both wining today, puts us down to 10th in the table.
RevidgeBlue Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Results not going our way with West Brom and Sunderland both wining today, puts us down to 10th in the table. Disagree. Imo West Ham losing is an excellent result for us it keeps them and Wolves nine points below us and it would take some doing for us to finish below either of those clubs unless either discover an unexpected upturn in form. Hopefully we're already looking at only having to finish above one other Club to ensure our status for next season. As a bare minimum requirement, not a desired final finishing position of course.
Grabbi Graeme Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I would of said both games finishing in a draw would of been better.
47er Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Results not going our way with West Brom and Sunderland both wining today, puts us down to 10th in the table. That's shocking--Allardyce should resign.
Hughesy Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 3 points next sunday would be MASSIVE to our season...it could take us as high as 6th and put us on 24pts after 17 games, with a run against the lesser teams coming up. Some mid table games next week so 3 points will probably help us get clear of one or two teams.
Ricky Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 A point next week would be a very good result Hughesy. They are in decent form at the moment so they'll also be seeing it as a winnable game. I think we could get all three points but I certainly wouldn't be disappointed with one.
47er Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 I think Bolton are due a good result against us. We've had a good run against them in recent times. Not confident about this one.

Keep the faith...10 years without defeat at the Breezeblock (officially now named the coldest stadium in the country). Runs like that can play against teams, see us at West Ham...lets get the 3 points which will be MASSIVE to us!
John Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Odds on Chris Hughton being the next Premier League manager to leave his post have been slashed to 1/2 with Sky Bet.

A good point the MOTD2 made yesterday….prior to yesterday Newcastle & West Brom had exactly the same record in terms of wins, draws, losses – yet only 1 of those 2 managers is getting any praise. They would be daft to sack him so soon, especially given their tricky run which no new manager will fancy….There next 4 games are Liverpool (H), Big Club (A), City (H), Spurs (A), they should at least give him the next 2 games. Also if they do sack him…who is out there to replace him with…. O’Neill?? Shearer again?? Bring back Keegan?? Lol
Grabbi Graeme Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Odds on Chris Hughton being the next Premier League manager to leave his post have been slashed to 1/2 with Sky Bet. SSN Breaking news that Chris Hughton has been sacked by Newcastle Utd.
Ozz Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Offically sacked , they want someone with more experience. Bonkers. Absolutely bonkers.

Grabbi Graeme Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 M O'Neil favourite according to SSN for the Toon job at 4/1 with Curbishley at 6/1.
Torgeir Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Surely they must have someone lined up already. The game has gone mad, Hughton has done a good job for NUFC. Policano/nicko - give us some betting advice
broadsword Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Do NUFC have a death wish? What absolute idiots.
sweet Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Cant believe you are all so surpised, this is newcastle united we are talking about. You would think the season they spent in the championship may have humbled them somewhat, but clearly not. The club seems to think that they should be safe from relagation already it seems! This is the whole sam allardyce situation again repeating itself. Idiots.
Roost Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Is it any wonder the barcodes are a laughing stock when they are deluded from the top down? Beating Chelsea in the cup, hammering Sunderland and winning at Arsenal all get you the sack. Incredible.

Mattyblue Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 What were they actually expecting this season? Top 6? Champions League??!?! Midtable with a core of a decent side in their first season back, then they sack the mananger! Delusions of grandeur (again) for the Geordie NationTM
