mickbrown Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 When I saw Bridge had gone to West Ham, my reaction was that their relegation had become more likely. He is a big improvement on Danny Gabbidion and Ilunga. Give the guy a break he has hardly played for months and to come in against Walcott is not easy.

Spot on Mick, if I was Bridge I'd have found some problem with my registration or something once it was clear you were marking a racing snake!! If not that, I would have made Theo part of the advertising boards in the first minute... My only complaint with Bridge, is signing for that club with it's disgusting owners, they make my stomach turn!
Amo Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Wayne Bridge is a decent left-back, and a pretty good one on his day, but of course he's been overpriced and overpaid like most English talent. Rubbishing him for a dodgy debut is quite harsh.
tony gale's mic Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Bentley's started brightly for Birmingham, Derbyshire just had a terrible miss...and Brad is making his 250th consecutive league appearance in a row.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I used to watch Wayne Bridge most weeks whilst he was at Southampton. He was a superb player and also took a great freekick. At Chelsea he was pretty good but got kept out the side by Ashley Cole. Obviously when you don't play often, you can't improve as much as you like but I think we should give him a break. He was clearly lacking match practice and he's playing for a really @#/? team. I would have liked him at Blackburn if he wasn't on extreme wages and maybe a few years younger.

A true professional, and servant to the game. Even though he did leave us for Villa. Still one of the top keepers of all time in PL.
Backroom Tom Posted January 16, 2011 Author Backroom Posted January 16, 2011 Brum look a decent team with the likes of Bentley and Hleb, Bentleys still a diver though. Villa however look pretty poor really
Herbie6590 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 A dig at SWP possibly written by a ManU fan... http://www.newsbiscuit.com/2011/01/15/shaun-wright-phillips-lost-after-failing-to-find-way-out-of-eastlands/
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Quite surprised at the amount of unsold seats at the Birmingham v Aston Villa game. I know the seats next to the Villa fans are empty due to segregation reasons but there are a lot of empty seats in the Birmingham sections. I thought they were a "big" club?
Backroom Tom Posted January 16, 2011 Author Backroom Posted January 16, 2011 I know he's bound to score now but Derbyshire has been rubbish for Brum today he has the David Dunn disease of thinking he's better than he is and trying too much on the ball. 1-0 birmingham now
CrazyIvan Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Best player on the pitch in the Brum V Villa game is Barry Ferguson. Showing some class in this game...
philipl Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Results going well for us so far. A draw in the Brum derby keeps both of them deep in the mire whilst Newcastle winning at Sunderland keeps 6th place just 5 points away.
benhben Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 David Bentley just named man of the match on his Brum debut. Pity we didnt manage to tempt him back. Bentley sat behind Santa cruz would have taken our team up a level.

BuckyRover Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 He keeps shooting from ridiculous positions
benhben Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Daft decision. Should be Ferguson but Bentley has been ok, not as good as he was for us. Would still have improved our team massively though. Perhaps in the summer....
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Gyan scores in injury time, Bruce acts as though he's won the world cup . 1-1 Full time.
Bobby G Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Pienaar leaving the club and left out of the squad. But who is that mystery European team?
Hughesy Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Pienaar leaving the club and left out of the squad. But who is that mystery European team? Some reports say Bayern. Results wise - perfect so today....now for another draw in mersey derby....Kuyt just missed a sitter on the post rebound from torres shot.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Yeah three draws would be good, not bothered about the Spurs- Red Rats game.
Hughesy Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Yeah three draws would be good, not bothered about the Spurs- Red Rats game. In terms of us...im not bothered either, but in terms of upsetting the media, harry and all the over the top spurs fans...I hope United smash them.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Liverpool are in some serious trouble.
