And things just go from bad to worse for the Hammers, according to this report that Karen Brady has sent text messages to several of the first team, asking for their opinion on Grant, and if they think he should go.

Hilariously immature from Karen Brady. I can just imagine the txts now...

It sounds like The Apprentice!

That's absolutely awful.

She's not on The Apprentice now

D'oh! Didn't see your response!

West Ham United have been a moral disgrace off the pitch, and a joke on it for the best part of a decade now. The only bloke who brought them any success was sacked on Christmas Day. I hope they get what they deserve, which is a one way ticket down the leagues.

....where in the hell do Villa have 18 million. That is just about the most absurd thing that I've ever heard. I guess money really does grow on trees. They are a joke club who already pay big for players and fail to win anything each season, but suddenly BAM - 18 million for one of England's best strikers. What in the hell is this.

If you cast your mind back a few months, Villa received about £20 million for James Milner and didn't spend any of it.

By that logic we would have enough to buy Messi by now. Don't they have to pay wages and "day to day expenses" as well? Or even simply use it to improve the negative balance for all the expensive players they previously bought, which is one thing we don't have to worry about.

Seems Pienaar has decided to go to Spurs: http://msnsport.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11675_6671780,00.html

Looking at their squad you can't help but think that at least 4 of their midfielders would be surplus to requirements. Would love to see us go for either Kranjcar, O'Hara or Huddlestone. If the Adam-saga continues with more and more clubs showing interest and his price going up accordingly - why not put in a cheeky bid for Kranjcar?

Randy Lerner is still backing them, and has proved before that he can come up with cash if the club deems it necessary. I guess he slips under the radar concentrating on the business side rather than the media or "megalomaniac playing with his toy club"-side.

He did of course tighten the purse strings, even after the sale of Barry, and then he said O'Neil wouldn't be given any of the cash from the sale of Milner, which according to rumours was the final straw for O'Neil.

To be fair Lerner, he had already invested around £150m without any return. I'm guessing he hoped they would still finish mid table this season without much investment, however results haven't gone their way, and their in a relegation battle. Thus the cheque book has come out again. Bent's goals should seem them move up the table, and Makoun is also a very good addition.
