The commentator on ESPN just, in all seriousness, queried if the referees assistants electronic board could show double figures as there is due to be 10 minutes of stoppage time due to the Rafeal injury.

:wstu:

This would be the same board that the referees assistant uses to display players squad numbers for subsitutions. I mean, seriously, how do they get their jobs?

Man Utd score their 3rd.

I bet you any money Holloway mentions the penalty decision (or lack of one!) changed the game in United favour.

I hope so too as it completely changed the game along with most of Waltons calls tonight.

Don't even get me started on the ESPN/ITV commentary setup...

Get a grip. It's not even as bad as West Brom not being given the penalty on Sunday.

Course it was. They were both penalties. Tonight's was worse.

I believe the WBA one was a genuine mistake by Clattenburg. There was no way in hell the penalty tonight could have been missed.

I'm not trying to make a conspiracy theory, just United are favoured. They have been since the Premier League started.

I will always believe that officials can be swayed by home fans, but I very much doubt that there is a single ref in the premier league who is genuinely biased or favours certain sides.

Read Jeff Winters autobiography.

You could say the same about Blackburn, makes no odds as all the players live in Manchester or Cheshire- same applies for a Wigan player, shirley?

...and I'm sure a lot of those players have the same qualms as Diamé, but are smart enough not to talk about it in interviews.
