Rovers took a controversial lead on the half hour mark, when El-Hadji Diouf appeared to block Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer, to allow Chris Samba to head home a long free kick up field from Paul Robinson. Whether Schwartzer should have been on the pitch, however was another controversial decision, when referee Taylor, failed to spot the Fulham keeper handle the ball outside the area, after dropping a long clearance from Robinson.
