OscarRaven Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Just had a meeting with John Williams dog at the Reebock, he told me the full story after a bit of coercion and offering up a bit of my steak sandwich. Unfortunatley he asked me not to pass on the info for fear of making some off the bulls*it merchants look bad. He's a sensitive sort...but I don't think its breaking any confidences by telling you the last thing he said to me....woof!

'Rough' apparently.

BRFCS Content Posted October 16, 2010 Author Posted October 16, 2010 Published: Saturday, 16 October 2010 VH Group Enter Race For Rovers? by Kamy This week has seen frantic activity behind the scenes at Ewood Park, with a number of unexpected developments bringing radical change to the landscape in the ongoing bid to assume ownership of Blackburn Rovers Football Club. Doubts over the respective bids of Syed Ali and the reported mystery bidders have led to a new twist in the long-running saga, which first became widely known in June when Saurin Shah made his interest public. While it is believed that Saurin Shah still remains on the scene, BRFCS have learnt that yet another party from India has made its interest in the purchase of Blackburn Rovers known. Reliable sources have informed BRFCS that VH Group from Pune, India, have now entered the race. VH Group have an annual turnover of 17 billion Indian rupees and are the largest manufacturer and distributor of poultry products in India, with their initial profits coming from manufacture of chicken feed. BRFCS have contacted VH Group for a statement regarding their reported involvement, but at the time of publication they had not yet responded. BRFCS also believe that Syed Ali's bid to purchase Rovers is close to breakdown. There still remain a number of issues which Mr Ali has not been able to clear. Sources at Ewood have also indicated that if all the current takeover talks fail, then it is likely that the club will be taken off the market and the Trust will look at an alternative method of financing the club.
Cortez Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 It's probably due to the fact we are all exhausted by the whole thing and very, very, very, sceptical that anything will ever happen now.
PAFELL Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I'm surprised to see so few comments now that the latest has been revealed? Not that surprising really, when you consider that nothing has really been revealed, apart from 'something' is imminent - but what is still a mystery. Even Nicko's comment about running around like a headless chicken, apparantly is a clue. But nothing more has been shared. The big question. Are the chickens halal? Don't give a cluck myself. The whole thing seems to be scrambled.
PAFELL Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Am suffering from Brain Strain today. Please put me out of my misery. Go to the other takeover thread, imfo was posted there about 15 minutes ago. That reveals what you want to know.
imy9 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 So a company with an annual turnover of over £240 million pounds is interested in Rovers? I wonder what their interest is, is it a simple a hoax? How far along the line are we, have they entered DD yet or progressed past Syed?
ada2020 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Sources at Ewood have also indicated that if all the current takeover talks fail, then it is likely that the club will be taken off the market and the Trust will look at an alternative method of financing the club. I know there is probably no alternative, if we aren't sold this time then we never will be, but the thought of remaining as we are really concerns me. I am not against the trust before anyone starts, but I fear we are heading one way if they remain in charge. A slow wind down to the championship beckons..............
imy9 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 http://www.vhgroup.in/vhgroup/archive/investors/2009.htm# Financial statements for the company can be found above, look a little different to Syed's!
Iceman Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 So another group enters, more billionaires and yet it all looks like it might end in nothing happening.
ada2020 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 This section is a compilation of news from VH Group, events in the poultry calender, information for shareholders and articles from various publications. You couldn't make it up......... So another group enters, more billionaires and yet it all looks like it might end in nothing happening. You aren't surprised though are you? Seems like a billionaire Indian shows an interest in buying Rovers every other week or so.....
koi Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Out of interest, what would be other methods of financing the club if the trust stays with it?
BuckyRover Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Hopefully they will decide to invest more to recoup more. That would be a good end to this saga.
