Firstly, there was very little that Philip posted that was inaccurate at the time. This takeover has changed rapidly. Those of you that have been lucky enough to have an insight on the process will confirm that it has been like watching a horse race whereby the horses keep getting shot but then amazingly rocket to the front. Many of you are letting your desperation take hold of your senses. Even if everything runs to plan, you are looking at late November. For those of you expecting a big announcement tomorrow, you will be disappointed.

I'm sure Philip had plenty of good info..he also presented himself well.

Now,he just seems churlish and and immature.

What's next Philip, are you taking your ball home 'cos you're not playing anymore??

BPF / Philipl and others

This whole thread is based on stuff and nonsense and is fed by people like you.

Of course the takeover is complicated and there will be twists and turns along the way but make no mistake about it - the Rovers try to conduct their affairs decently and in private but people like you have fed the beast solely for your own personal gratification.

Just to expand on my earlier point.

For those of you with no background in PR.

If someone is talking about your organisation in the National Press, you have to respond to it to clarify the situation. They did this the first time and there will be very little difference in tomorrow's statement.

Ah, just like Sayed did after the radio 5 live allegations?

Please don't patronise us.

I don't have any insider knowledge at all, so BPF, phil, whoever could have Syed/mystery bidder/Colonel Sanders on speedial for all I know.

However, you can see the annoyance of other posters when insider knowledge will be hinted at, then a few days later, 'things have changed', 'front running horses have been shot'. Vague statements that have just served to whip people into a frenzy for months.

I think that the stick given to Philip on here tonight is unjust and uncalled for.

Philip is a thoroughly decent guy and those involved in the commercial / business arena will recognise the value of his insight and the way that he has tried to share this,

What has appeared in the Mirror and People is not making any sense.

They have crossed the line and brought the Manager into all this when three other bidders have not done so. That is a very dangerous game to play when they know there will be no completed sale before at least three games from when this angle first appeared and probably more.

And we are being told that VH plan to make a fortune out of the Rovers.

Sorry to disappoint you all but making a fortune out of the Rovers and Rovers remaining a viable business longer term is mutually incompatible. Deep down, everybody knows that.

Can nobody see that Nicko's sensationalised scribblings are just that? Come on, he's being rambling on about this group taking over or that group taking over for over three years. Umpteen times, we've been oh-so close to a takeover according to him. He only comes on here because he gets spoon fed titbits of information by PM with which he can then make up a story for the Mirror. He actually gets paid for simply embellishing the information people on here provide him with.

Philip, BPF, Kamy and Nicko have all been trying to give us as much insight as possible. Without them this thread wouldn't even exist. If people want official confirmation they can check the rovers website for official announcements and would be left in the dark. Sometimes these sources they have are not directors or members of the trust so they pass on some information when they hear it. The only people who know exactly what is happening is the people who are actually doing the deal everyone else is probably getting bits and pieces which is passed on 3rd hand to us. So people who are slagging them off especially what happened to Kamy (we all know the MB was better with his posts)have a choice to wait for official confirmation or be happy with whatever information they are getting because there are some on here who actually look forward to hearing any information they can get.

Two possibles:

1. Statement saying that VH have the exclusive now.

2. Statement confirming that they are 'talking' to other parties.

To the people messaging me, telling me that it is obvious the statement is to confirm we have been sold. You are crazy.

Furthermore, I'm not patronising anybody.

Had time to mull it over and I’m starting to get a bit nervous about this VH Group deal.

The whole idea of bringing in talent from across the globe developing them and then selling for a profit sounds like a good idea but I am sure there are some downsides and potential pitfalls to this:

1- What is this model doesn't work? If the owner backs this approach but then one season for example it doesn't generate success both on the field and off the field in terms of making a profit on the player. Will the owner just decide to sell the club?

2- Manager’s power when it comes to players. Will the manager get a say on who comes in, or will the decisions be made at a higher level? There have been a fair few examples especially abroad (Italian sporting directors for example) where the manager has no real say on transfer policy. If this is the case and our manager is not happy with the lack of power or doesn't want a particular player, will this cause potential strife at the club?

3- Increased risk to these third party ownership type of schemes. Surely this approach will put us into contact with more agents who are trying to sell a young player but still keep some attachment to their contract?

I'm not completely ruling out their bid, I just have some concerns and feel some questions need to really be answered before I could say one way or the other whether I feel this is a good deal for us or not.

I do accept however we really can't go on the way we are, long term its just not sustainable.

BPF/Hughesy/Philip can you confirm a couple of things

1. Have the VH group and delegates been to see the EPL today it was stated on here earlier if so how long do you think it will take to approve them?.

2. Has Syed's group been to the EPL or are they just behind & still has to be done?.

I also have to agree can all the posters slagging Nicko/Philip/BPF off just pack it in if you think they are feeding us stuff that satisfies their own ends fair enough that is your opinion. But for myself & others who constantly views these boards these people are a wealth of information. More often than not these people majority of the time get these things right. As has been said on many occasions dealing with members of a trust is highly complicated so it makes the nature of the beast highly unlikely to get things right every time, but they should not be criticised for passing on information of what they hear. That is plain wrong and the reason why Kamy & others have been chased of this board unfairly. Rant over!.

Whether VH or/and Kentaro went to the PL is for them or their representatives to confirm. As far as I am aware, JW was not physically in London yesterday.

It is worth pointing out that I have been very positive about VH since their identity was first revealed.

However, I have long felt agents are at the root of most that is wrong in football today. Putting an agency in charge of our football club seems like letting the fox run the chicken shed.
